I tried Frandum, not really expecting anything much different from other Muds, and it was so . much . fun!The tutorial was straightforward, and i found the chapel easily, but quite by accident. I was more successful at questing, than I have been on other Muds, and I love the world description. Gaining experience mirrors real life here, because you gain through learning. Hack-and-slash has never appealed to me overly much, and i'm glad to see a different type of gameplay on Frandum. Overall, it was a refreshing experience.If you are burned out on Muds in general, but you are still looking for something new, give this one a try.

I'm not all that familiar with CP2020, but it's a game I've been curious about for a while. I know it has a pretty neat life path character generation system, and that's always a nice feature in my book.The only cyberpunk game I'm vaguely familiar with is Shadowrun, and that's only from reading. You won't get me to play a system which is so crunchy, though I hear there's a new rules-light version which might be worth a look.

You can never go wrong with GCC and GNU Make, or CMake. Easier to use these build environments than bulky IDEs in my opinion. I just use Cygwin, which offers a lot of Unix-based tools for Windows. Personally, C/C++ is not a particularly friendly language for beginning programmers because you do have to deal with manual memory management. However, C/C++ are probably the most flexible programming languages you can find in terms of getting as close to low-level coding as possible. BTW, contrary to some people's beliefs, C/C++ are still high-level compiled languages. Low-level coding is left up to those brave enough to learn assembly languages or raw machine code. A library I recommend you use for game development in particular is SDL (Simple Media Direct Layer or something). It offers companion libraries that will handle streaming of MP3, OGG, WAV (raw), and a few other formats. I'm using these libraries to build an audiogame of my own that is coming along quite nicely. I&#
 039;ve written a working menu system, map systems, panning functions, etc. Hope you're able to make progress in your endeavor.

Besides, even if I had fortune's frontier or dmnb v1 or v2, even if I had any of their sources after be it in deleted archives or some place I hadn't purged them in the past, your out of luck now. My old windows vista computer that I coded dmnb v1 and v2 on is in storage and is not getting plugged in unless its getting a wipe, and fortune's frontier's deleted archives completely expired when the computer I was using had a hard disk failure, I was lucky enough to be able to even salvage the fortune's frontier sounds never mined the code. And yes. I know i've made mistakes in the past. I'm not asking you to forgive me for them. I understand that because of the dmnb and ff projects i've lost supporters, which was bound to happen eventually. I'm posting this because i'm getting rather worryed about how people seem to be about this dmnb biznis, which effects future developments. I'll reitterate what people have said to me a countle
 ss number of times. Dmnb was a game. A product produced for the entertainment of people and at the time when I started development, because I wanted to produce it and see what it would be like for space in audio. This is no different to when a band produces an albom. Yes, they announce alboms, and projects get canceled all the time. Let me draw comparisons to 2 of my most favorite bands, pink floyd and the eagles to try to explain this one more time. Both bands have been critically aclaimed for their alboms. Both bands no longer work on alboms together. The members may do solo projects, but no more alboms together. Hents, it doesn't sound the same. I want to ask you something here. Say you listen to these bands and you love their alboms and your a hard core fan. But would you go up to, say, don henly of the eagles or roger waters of pink floyd and call them out for deciding to do something else with their lives? If the answer is no, then why do you continue to do this exact thi
 ng towards me. I'm a human being just like those people, and while i'm not saying show me some admiral respect, i'm saying show me enough respect to understand that dmnb is dead and gone. I know everyone goes through their aubsessive phases in life at one point or another and yes, it can hert when those aubsessions are taken away. It also can be tremendisly disappointing when something you were looking forward to gets canceled. I know the feeling. But, and consider this a life long lesson, somethings are just not ment to be. Not everything goes your way regardless on how menny times you pray to god or wish for it to. Nothing is free in life with out a catch. And in some cases, regardless of what others think, the catch becomes too costly for the project, and sometimes in life you have to be selfish or burn to the ground. Yes, I understand you guys on how sad you are about dmnb, and sometimes I miss the game myself. And yes, I understand your disappointment on me not r
 eleasing fortune's frontier, I was just as hyped as you were which is why I made those release announcements and twitter updates. In the end however, life had other plans and things changed. This happens in life all the time. Consider this also a lesson. If you really miss dmnb and are that upset  about it, then maybe its time to do what I did and reconsider your lifes choices. If your upset because it didn't stay around long enough and you wern't on long enough as you would have liked, i'm sorry to say that I can't change your time table and modify it so you can play when you like. also, pressing triangle on a game does not bring up any menus. Try the options button instead. Pressing triangle on a game might work in other countries though, but I thought it was the options button.

Hi everyone,I have some unfortunate news to report. Andrew Trese of Trese Brothers updated Kickstarter with the following:"Accessibility NewsIf you have unfortunate news, it is best to start with it. The original Star Traders RPG is a rare game for many reasons, but one of those is that it is completely accessible and can be played by visually impaired players. We estimate this feature took two people 6 months of work between iOS and Google, and we’re very proud that we were able to accomplish that feat. When the Star Trader 2 KickStarter launched, lots of players from the community wanted to know if we would be able to make Star Traders 2 playable in the same way for people using mobile accessibility features.At the time of the KickStarter, we hoped that we could make it work. Over the two years we have spent working on Star Traders 2, we have accumulated more than one month each working on accessibility support. Unfortunately, we have not found a solution that will work for Star Traders 2 and as of this week, we know that Star Traders 2 will not have accessibility support at alpha or at launch.We have tried many different approaches and hit many roadblocks. The first issue is that our game engine has zero accessibility support and our efforts to push the developers to prioritize these features have failed. As we’ve went, we’ve tried to pare down the scope (what if we just did desktop, what if we just did Windows) in an attempt to find a solution we could support. Even last week, we spent hours trying Windows-only screen readers like JAWS, and NV Access but all of our hours ended in dead ends.We are simply too small of a team to be successful with such an immensely complicated task. To build our own custom, complete accessibility engine (which includes making every screen of the game readable by a text-to-speech engine, as well as every user input available via voice command) is simply beyond a team of two. We could both easily spend another 6 to 9 months working on it, and still would not make the game fully playable via any accessibility framework.Due to our tradition and success with the visually impaired community around Star Traders RPG and Age of Pirates RPG, we were very hopeful that we could make this work. We have tried our best and come up short, and we know that this will be a huge disappointment to a community of backers who supported Star Traders 2. Look. Guys. That's kind of inconsiderate. Danny took DMNB down for a reason-- he knows why, and he knows that he doesn't want to put it back up, hopefully you guys know that now too.  Yes, DMNB was fun. It was addicting, and we all, including Danny even, spent countless hours livin' it up there. But do you know what Danny was doing when he wasn't livin' it up? Dealing wwith misconduct, fixing numerous bugs and crashes, all the while trying to please a community instead of himself with a creation. DMNB left a bad taste in his mouth, and it's something that marks a rough, I mean really rough, patch in his past. He does not wish for it to be put back up, and he does not wish to assist people in putting it up by fixing bugs for your servers and what not. If you want a DMNB like, go create it. I wouldn't say call it DMNB and give it the same story, but make a game just like it if you want that so bad. But could you all (post 13 and above) l
 eave Danny alone about this? Or if you're not going to, you can't expect to somehow get a miracle out of your complaints and attempts to work around the stone hard truth, that you suddenly have DMNB v1 back again, better than freaking ever.

The command mode is unlocked after you beat warrior of light's chapter.To activate command mode, press triangle on the world map. If you level up a character, press the x button to scroll through the stats, until a menu comes up. If you are'nt leveled up a character, you'll be taken away straight to the menu.Once at the menu, press up once and press x. Then, press down once and press right to turn on command mode, and press circle to go back to the world map

It depends on the task I'm doing with my iPhone. But mostly, its either alex or samantha compact. I used Samantha enhanced before iOS 9, but apple screwed it up, and it was never as fast as I prefer to have my speech anyway.

For a very long time, I used Daniel Enhanced, however when I downloaded IOS 10, I switched to, much to people's horror and dismay, Fred. I actually haven't looked back at Daniel ever since. I actually like Fred, though, maybe it's because I tend to like robotic voices .

I'm on hansha billage, something like that; you know, where you are pulvericed by dr toros, then you collect other manamons and you get the original ones back. I've often thought about audio games with that premise, too. I even wrote to Liam at one point suggesting that a new mode should be added to Super Egg Hunt where you were the chicken, and you needed to grab eggs away from the egg hunter, although of course you could still get killed and that would be lights out. A bit of a silly example given the nature of this topic, but I could see some cool trophies coming out of such a mode.

Yay, I'm glad someone agrees with me about the breathing. It's a completely weird and unnecessary feature to have in a synth. if it weren't for that, I wouldn't mind using Alex myself. Taking up almost a gig of space is a little ridiculous, though.Ever since I upgraded to IOS 10, i've been using Oliver as my default voice. The only issue I have with him is that he pronounces some things rather oddly, but I like his inflection and the general sound of his voice enough that I can overlook that most of the time. Even so, I added the US male Siri voice back into my roter for those times when I need to make sure I've understood something clearly, or just for a change of pace. I used that voice when I was on IOS 9 and enjoyed it a lot.

I agree with post 14 on that one: Although there were server crashes, there are ways around that. If the code was given out to somebody else or even offered up on the forum the game would still be up and someone would have hosted a server for it.

You didn't just hop out of a lamp I happened to rub did you? .I'll see how things go and put together an entry since while it has taken a little getting into I'll say Frandom is probably the most unique mud I've seen. Edit: okay, directions and area commands are a real life saver, much easier to know what I'm doing now, though I'm buggered if I can work out what to do with that bloody tree in midwood or where that bear is, indeed I'm %57 points through the area but looking around didn't disocver anything I've not done. Still I now have spells, wooo!

just to say what i think in this topici setted up dmnb v 2 with some friends, we got far in to it, we got all ships from both v 1 and v 2, we solved some buggs with them, and found a solution for the server crashes. shortly most things worked as it should, but we couldn't make the mitions which is the reason why this game is so fun, simply because we don't have the sorce and only danny had it, otherwise the game were fully plaieble and we managed to get some very cool stuffs to work. but because we didn't have the sorce we put the server down. so unless danny don't have the sorce to dmnb v 1 and wants to give it to the comunity we can't host a server

How is that in terms of player service and user experience, eh?The "missing" in mission means you have not finished the quest: I replaced it with "Unfinished" for the sake of clarity.As for where to go, you probably skipped  the shelves in the Oracle's hut entirely, so they are now "mandatory" when you first visit her. Thing is, I don't know the exact thresholds there. I know the Super Guardian is 100, but I thought I should've got Mt. Cinder Torch already, and I haven't. I do know that the Golden Medal is at the 75 threshold.Super Guardian is...not very good, in my opinion. Moves that are already weak get much weaker when they target you. Plus it does penalize the speed stat a bit, no thanks. I think to earn the name "Super Guardian" it should raise both defenses by 15%-20% and lower the damage of critical hits slightly, while still penalizing the speed stat a bit...but that's just me.

Alex, 839 megabites, does not, by any means, justify its size. He sounds like a person who's rushing all the time, like having four fulltime jobs a day, and this way having less time to read as a Voiceover. What's more, when he breathes, he drives me crazy. It's not really necessary to include breths on a speech synthesiser which, by the time of speaking sounds way too robotic, and will do so for a long time.

yes the universe does get expanded.there is a high tide that happens at different times of the day, when it happens you can reach different planetswhen I said there are different things you can do, I should have said different voice commands that you can say, like while on a planet, you can ask for a description of how it looks, a description of your environment, different details about your ship, you also earn different badges by doing different things. your main focus of the game is to figure out a way with your faction, how to conquer the most planets. no way you can do it by yourself, you start off with a little bit of dromes, and if you take to many dromes from a planet you already own, you are leaving it wide open for attack

I've always fancied a game like dungeon keeper, where you get to play the evil wizard constructing your nasty maze of monsters and get to unleash your hoards on the pittiful humans, and watch your minians devour any stupid adventurers who wander into your maze trying to stop you  .There was a browser game called dungeon inquisitor which was sort of like that but I could never get it to work properly.

I'll see what's new in Ios 10 when i download it. I used daniel up until Ios 8, but for some reason then the voice went extremely harsh and unpleasant sounding so I switched to siri male enhanced full time. I've heard alex, although since I have an Iphone 5 I couldn't download him, however I much prefer a uk English voice since that is my accent so wouldn't use alex even if I could. I'll have a look at the new ones in Ios 10 and see if there is anything that takes my fancy, but Siri male isn't too bad, actually I remember when the siri voice was changed I did rather wonder if it was usable with vo.

Hi.´Maybe I have the wrong game, but I can't activate the command mode in dissidia final fantasy due to the fact that the menu raps.Is there more than one final fantasy game available for the psp or what am I doing wrong here?

Hi everyone,When I last played this MUD, the mush client bundle in development for the blind was in testing stages. I was testing it with a few players, but it wasn't nearly as good as it is now. Sapi is handy by default now as they've got important events triggered in groups for things like people who are getting low on health and need healing, when specific spells have expired such as blindness, and the mapper works better now.Sapi also speaks MXP alerts, which in the case of this mud is alerts that immortals think you should know about when fighting specific bosses as hints to defeat them. Thanks much man.A quick update:While writing the guide, I realized that the guide should not only contain the menus, but also some generel tips on how to use the Playstation. It will also contain the very basics for those who are new to the Playstation. That means the guide will be for everyone and not just those who already knows the basics. I'm already half done writing the basics including the controler layout, how to turn on the Playstation and how to log in. The next part will be the various basic screens in the interface such as the main screen, the menu which pops up when holding the PS button and the menu which pops up when pressing the triangle button on a game and then finally the settings screen, or most of it. I'll then write the two ways I know how to update the Playstation, and add a section regarding voice commands as well. More things will come after this. So yeah, this is going to be exciting for sure.

I've been very good as well but tired. Sorry I haven't been on here as much lately. I did just destroy a spambot though which was very satisfying. It's particularly satisfying when someone replies to the topic and says it's spam, and destroying it is like a double "take that" to the bot. Although it's also fun when you catch a one-post spam topic and utterly nuke it as well.So at the moment I'm primarily tired because on Friday 30 September I went to Peterborough for an event on October 1, this year's version of Feel The Force.Which reminds me... Dark the reason I didn't contact you about the event this year was because your life was getting busy and I wanted to give you some space and let you settle in and stuff.However, next year is going to be Feel The Force 5 and the date is September 30. Not only that, but tickets are already on sale and I think it might be first come first serve this time, because this year&
 #039;s event was a bit more  busy.So, for people who don't know, Feel The Force is basically an event where lots of people dress up in character, it's designed so that people with disabilities cantouch and talk to these characters. They aren't the actual people from the films but they are very dedicated, costuming fans. However, there are some special guests too. The thing is, some of the characters do stuff in character, so the Disney princesses will talk with an accent.below I've pasted a document with some stories from the day. Real names have been removed.I got to have a get together with some of the costumers on Friday, we got invited round someone's house for a meal. They had some really lovely pork! I also got to try a victoria sponge, which I've never done before. It's a cake, and it was quite nice.I found out that the person wouldn't be bringing their Steampunk costume, however as a reward for trying some
 thing new, they braught out a couple of the Steampunk props from their old costume that I could touch.Then, it was time to go back to the hotel and time to sleep for the next day.So the day came.We encountered a Predator creature that was playing music, headbanging and it was hilarious because he kept on playing really poppy songs and everyone was laughing at my reactions.I met a clockwork droid, of modern Doctor Who fame, that kept on ticking. It was funny because I felt the mask, then I ended up touching the gloves, which felt very soft, and suddenly didn't quite find it as creepy. I hope I didn't annoy the person, because I kept on touching the gloves after that.In the Doctor Who room there was a dalek voice changer. Me and a friend of mine who is also blind, (audiogames forum note: it's SightlessKombat!) ended up doing some dalek improvisation. I ended up mentioning another costuming group, specifically the princess group. I tried go
 ing all pantomime and Sightless was having none of it, which made it even funnier!I met Marc Silk, he's a voice actor from tv mostly, but he's doe some stuff in Star Wars episode 1, something about the senate. He ended up doing a bunch and I really do mean a bunch of voices, scooby doo, bob the builder, it was hilarious. It was even more funny when I sung bounce bounce tigger to him he said it took him back, then we ended up doing the song together! It was from an advert for a toy.I met a friend's Poison Ivy (met this person last year, so it was nice to see this person after 12 months). Then, she braught over Harley Quin and Riddler. Well, the blues brothers came on stage, and, I ended up dancing the whole way through with Riddler and Harley, at the front! One of the blues brothers gave me the mic and I sung along to minnie the mocher! hidey hidey hidey high!I was eating a chocolate chip cookie and someone I've heard about through Facebook, spot
 ted me, this person's costume honey monster comes up next to me. I hope I didn't mess up the costume because I ended up touching it with cookie all over my hands.The food stuff isn't done yet. This gets funnier, I learned my lesson. I was eating a burger and Princess Belle actually joined us for a bit which was a lovely surprise! It was hilarious because she spoke with the accent, then dropped into her normal voice, which I'd never heard before. This time, I made a conscious effort: I said I would not touch the costume until my hands were clean.I finished the burger and Voldemort from Harry Potter was next to me, that person had an awesome voice.Then I stood up and I am not kidding, as soon as I left my chair I was quite literally surrounded by the Disney princesses, they came and found me. It was Elsa, then everyone after that started describing all their outfits. I think there were five of them!I met Batman and another Poison Ivy, I wasn
 't quite expecting another one. Next thing you know, they go off and minutes later they come back with Joker in toe and we had a good chat. We ended up comparing Joker voices and cackling to each other!All in all an awesome day.

The viruses respawn because their is a flagyou can set in each stage that tells AAC weather to use normal behavior, or the enemy respawning behavior from rusty software.Please check your difficulty mod settings.I've run into the same problem only to find that. oops, my diff mod was set to some ungodly high setting.Also, try jumping to a virus and start attacking before you land.I made Remnant to be plaied on the default difficulty setting. Anything higher than 1 or 2 wil make this stage really really hard.If you're still having the problems with the viruses and delete rays after turning off your dif modd setting then I will add an item to fix this stage.Tip: check your diff modd with the F key.I'll add a note to post 1 now, and I'll update the readme to include the same note.Regarding falling and not losing lives, no I didn't use any other code.All falling events are vary carefully recorded gameplay.The sector steps were changed either by adding one tile that sounds like the grates, or by simply adding an additional corrupt sector tile before and after each sector.I don't think you need to unlock the tile creator, use control M to get to it.I'll make the disclaimer skippable on chapters 2 and 3.As for the chapter bumpers, I'm not going to make those skippable, not because I'm a jirk, but because I literally can't.You see, they're made using a sceen with a BGM that triggers on a timer so SAPI can announce the chapter name.This makes them unskippable without messing up the effect.I'll check back soon and look at the feedback.An update to Remnant will be coming soon.Later!

Hi all.Thanks to mr.brunete who is really really awesome, I've now seriously started to make the guide.I have got the tools I need to write and design the guide, I have got lots of information to get started and I have thought about how to host the guide. So I'm excited. This time, such guide will not just be words and thoughts, and I'll not loose the motivation this time. Why? Because this guide will make things accessible which the screenreader doesn't support. It'll just take time until I reach this point, but it will come. My goal is to have everything in the guide which can be done on the Playstation 4 as a blind person. I mean, blind people shall not be limited to a screenreader which don't supports everything. People needs to have the choice to use the various features if they wants to. So therefore I'll do my very best to get as many features in the guide as possible, so people have the choice to use it if they have a Playstat
 ion 4. But first, I'll concentrate on the menus...The only bad news is: The way I'm designing the guide, I can't host it here on the forum, but I've found a workaround for this, so it won't make a huge difference...

Only unfortunate thing is that the performance speed will no doubt be increased with more space, but I believe the card reader itself has a set file read/write speed, unfortunately. But the fact that you can copy files in the background makes up for that.

hifrom what i can see this game is not very acceessible. you sometimes cant click on the clickables to progress throuh the tutorial or you don't know what clickable does what. i somehow managed to summon my army and somehow attacked an enemy, but after that i stopped because the tutorial said something about a board where you can send your cards to or something...

Hi all. When I want to check for updates within Q read, It doesn't give me a "Checking for update" screen. It just waits for five seconds [I actually counted] and then it takes me back to the book I am reading at this time. Is this normal? Please advise me on what i should do.

its a multi player game.just kind of think of it as a space mud.they have 100s of audio games for the echo, but I must warn you, they are mainly trivia games, and card games, which means you will think its cool at first but will eventually get bored with the same song and dance..starlanes is some what of a breath of fresh air

You can use Visual Studio 2015 Community Edition. Some people are also using Code Blocks, and some C++ books recommend Dev-C++ IDE, though I don't know how much it is accessible.

The viruses respawn because their is a flagyou can set in each stage that tells AAC weather to use normal behavior, or the enemy respawning behavior from rusty software.Please check your difficulty mod settings.I've run into the same problem only to find that. oops, my diff mod was set to some ungodly high setting.Also, try jumping to a virus and start attacking before you land.I made Remant to be plaied on the default difficulty setting. Anything higher than 1 or 2 wil make this stage really really hard.If you're still having the problems with the viruses and delete rays after turning off your dif modd setting then I will add an item to fix this stage.Tip: check your diff modd with the F key.Regarding falling and not losing lives, no I didn't use any other code.All falling events are vary carefully recorded gameplay.The sector steps were changed either by adding one tile that sounds like the grates, or by simp
 ly adding an additional corrupt sector tile before and after each sector.I don't think you need to unlock the tile creator, use control M to get to it.I'll make the disclaimer skippable on chapters 2 and 3.As for the chapter bumpers, I'm not going to make those skippable, not because I'm a jirk, but because I literally can't.You see, they're made using a sceen with a BGM that triggers on a timer so SAPI can announce the chapter name.This makes them unskippable without messing up the effect.I'll check back soon and look at the feedback.An update will be coming soon.Later!
