Hi,I do have a question about scrolling battles pro, you know the game with the enemies and how you have to kill them and then your speed increases and the time bombs, well ETC.. But I was wondering, where did the enemy pain and death noises come from, what was the original game they were in? And who voiced those sounds because they do not sound realistic. Thanks.

@2to point 1 and 2 in the concerns.the encryption I'm using is just an example, everyone is free to change it if their wish when they use it.There is not a particular reason for me using zipfile. This is just an old project I had there and I decided to finish it by keeping zipfile.in the read_file, I check for that piece of information, because if it's found the string will be decoded if it's a byte. I basically needed to recognise a string that was for example a text file. If it was a text file, when I added the file, I would add b'x01xp' so that when it was read, it would be parsed accordinglyTrue, the zipfile it's self is not encrypted, I'll be working on that.Cryptodome does compile on 3.xI like the password verification idea.Thanks for your suggestions.P.S. I used cryptodome even for is speed. How fast is the other module you suggested?

It depends on what the folder contains.The one on this thread is obvious, I for example have shared keys in the past containing harry potter fanfiction.Those can easily be found on the internet.The same thing would have to go for dropbox folders people have shared.You don't know what the folders contain, unless someone is brave enough to download the folder and let us know, or the user sharing said folder tells you what they're sharing.It's like the whole torrents are bad because most people use it for piracy.That may be the case, but torrents were originally meant to transfer a large amount of data quickly, even facebook uses it.

Just poking through this, and I've already noticed some huge concerns:1. Why are you using cryptodome, and why are you directly calling the AES cryptographic functions?2. Why are you using CFB mode? How are the bits of the cipher encryption determined? Is this AES-128-CFB, AES-192-CFB or AES-256-CFB?3. Why are you not using Cryptography with AES-256-GCM? Cryptography offers an easy-to-use interface, and you do not need to pass in an IV, only a key. Furthermore, you are requiring users of your code ot pass in an IV, which (about 80-90 percent of the time) is done incorrectly, or a too large or too small Iv is passed in, resulting in dangerously broken (or weak) cryptography, or other vulnerabilities. Do not rely on your users to pass in secure information! Treat everything as dangerous until proven otherwise! As LVH said in his Crypto101 talk, "If your typing the letters AES into your code, you are doing it wrong. If your typing the letters DES into your code, your doing it extra wrong, and if your typing the letters MD5 or SHA into your code, then you might be wrong."3. Why are you using the zipfile module? Why not something better, like bzip2 or zstandard?4. In your read_file() method, you explicitly do a check for the bytes '1x01xp'. Why do you do this, and do you understand the consequences of modifying ciphertext or raw data such as sounds and other binary data in this way?5. Nowhere in your code do I see an attempt to encrypt the zipfile itself. This could open a hole can of wems since anyone with even rudimentary python knowledge could get access to the encrypted data. Granted, it is encrypted, but since you are relying on the user to pass in safe and good keys and acceptable IVs, you are only risking the security of the data by making it possible for uses to pass in short keys.And now, my recommendations:1. Switch to using cryptography. Cryptodome does not compile on Python 3.x as last I checked.2. Rewrite your encryption methods to use Cryptography's Fernet  system. Do not use the low-level Hazmat layer unless you know what you are doing.3. Put a strict hard limit on how few characters can be passed in. Enforce users to pass in at least a 12-18 character string that will be their key. Anything higher than the low hard limit should be accepted; however, you should probably do a password strength verification to ensure it gets the highest score possible before using it as a key. If it fails the test, reject it.4. Switch to using Zstandard, Bzip2, Gzip, etc., instead of zipfiles, and tune the algorithm correctly to achieve the smallest size possible.5. Encrypt the archive. Do not finish until the archive has been encrypted.6. If you can, attempt to securely wipe the memory that holds the key that the user passes in. Do not keep it around! Well, the only ain stream game I really play right now is SkullGirls. I have most if not all my audio files and others on my 4 TB external drive. I plan to run Reaper as well. I don't travel all that much. I've been looking at Cons cause they have monthly payment options. I do use Goldwave as well for editing. I just need something that has a good speed, and enough ram to keep things running smoothly. Sorry, I don't know much about the inside of a PC teck wise. That's one of the reasons I thought of posting here cause I know a lot of you guys are pretty bad ass at working these things out. I do appreciate your help however it's given. Thanks again.

Doing a job/schoolwork all day?Do you often work with very large files or big groups of them Such as say, compressing a 10GB folder or converting 300 .flac files to MP3's or loading a 100MB wav file into an audio editor.Do you have allot of big files to store like TV shows/movies, big folders of audio books or sound effects, large song libraries ETC.These are all things you should consider when buying a new laptop.

Welcome to my MUD client comparison. In my six years of mudding experience, I've used CMUD, Mudlet, MUSHclient, TF and VipMud. Out of those five, I'd like to present the three I found the most accessible.Purpose of this articleThis article is intended to give you an overview over VipMud, TF and MUSHclient, with advantages and disadvantages. It'll also include some programming examples, just so you get a feel for the used languages - however they won't be essential.This article will NOT advertise one client or the other - it's not meant to. All I'll give you is recommendations based on what the clients are especially good at. Everyone has their own preference - let's accept that and just enjoy facts. As I use Windows 7, the article will only refer to that OS.VipMudVipMud is said to be the most accessible client for Windows. It gets developed by GMA Games, a company well known for developing solid, accessible software. Does it live up to its promise, though?VipMud - SetupSetup of VipMud is simple enough - you download the current or older version of VipMud from gmagames.comand then run the installer. Warning: VipMud gets placed in the Program files (x86) folder in the older version - a folder which has restricted rights since Windows 7. More about that later.Advantages of VipMudNow that VipMud is installed, you can run it. As long as you have Jaws, it'll be 100 % accessible. I've heard people grumbling about the fact that NVDA doesn't support the older version of VipMud, I never had problems with it, though. Then again, I primarily use a braille display, so maybe things are different for voice users.VipMud's design is very intuitive - navigation, the menus, setting up new worlds - all that can be done using up/down, left/right arrow keys and the tab key. There are also hot keys to access certain menu parts and you can define hot keys of your own, though they're very restricted compared to TF. It's all doable if you take a while studying the help file.Also, there are many features blind people will enjoy - like the option to speak triggered lines in a different voice, have different voices for different windows, no voice at all for a certain window, etc.It's also possible to gag for voice only, braille only or both. The most basic alias, trigger, key and variable stuff is easy to understand if you take said time to read the helpfile.Many blind people said they also enjoyed that you have a split screen display with input/output windows, can scrol through output comfortably with up/down arrow keys and don't get sent to bottom line when new text arrives, a problem you have in MUSHclient and TF without additional plugins/scripts.Disadvantages of VipMudNow to the disadvantages.First, there's the matter of VipMud not being freeware. I know some people get really sensitive when this subject gets touched, but please listen first and judge then. While ca 30 dollar isn't THAT much for pay once, play forever, I'd expect a software that costs money at least to be capable of doing as much as the software that doesn't. Yes, VipMud's layout is nice, but nothing I cannot acomplish in other clients as well, with a little coding (or the right plugins). Of course the developers deserve money for making a consistent design. But especially in MÂDs, a consistent design isn't enough.VipMud doesn't support certain protocols, especially regarding compression, which can lead to trouble with small, private MUDs which don't have a great data structure.Regardless, The more troubling aspect is VipMud's scripting language. While it's easy to get the hang of, it's also... not very powerful, to put it politely.An example I can offer is when I tried to built an alias which performed a check for opponent defences: A trigger should assign a value to a variable, which the alias then retrieved and decided to perform a matching action. It did not work until I made the alias wait two seconds before checking the variable. The client needed two seconds to assign a simple integer value (so a number) to a variable. As comparison, C++ needs 4.9 seconds to build a rather large console program and create an executable file for it (.exe). In fast-paced MUDs like "Avalon - the legend lives", pausing the entire game for two seconds at each attack is inacceptable. And that's what VipMud does when waiting: It pauses the entire program.The help file on inbuilt functions (functions starting with %) is a mess, too. It's often vague, the syttax never gets explained, and why the results of an inbuilt function are always UPPERCASE and need to get turned back lowercase with %proper() first is beyond me, too.More complex functions, aka with inbuilt functions, are really clunky and inefficient - mainly because VipMud does not offer regular expressions, so more complex search patterns. This makes the function tasks I need to perform all the more complex.And last, but certainly not least, the error messages and traceback o

His defense to this all is he was going on about how he wouldn't use code that was stolen to begin with. Ok Sam I hate to break it to you but not everyone's decisions are the same as your decisions. Good luck on trying ot get this to take effect dude. I get why you did it, but you can't expect everyone to comply with your terms after years of people writing or using that code for a few things.

Back in time my daughter was taking violin lessons. That was 2 years of disaster for the whole family. The reason I have understood several years later and I have even managed to correct the problem. But my daughter refused to re-start with violin and has switch to piano and drums.So essential question is how good you notice that some tone is not in tune. That is usually bound to how clean you can sing.For violin itself, proper both hands and all fingers position is vital for string instruments. While that is important also for other, simple peaces on piano and guitar for yourself and friends can be played without good technic. I can not remember the same approach has ever worked with violin. So please take at least several lessons right at the beginning, before you self-learn wrong way to play it. Correcting that later is much harder.

well, NVDA had a plug in that used microsoft AI to identify images, still on git and still in development. But facebook has incorporated this and its actually getting better at identifying things that are in pics, and doing the alt graphic tags right, so I have came across a few pictures that have been described at a basic level and also have the text in. Or, using NVDA, I have been able to deduce what most memes say by first reading facebook's description of the pictures and then opening the picture full screen and running the NVDA OCR on it, which is specific to windows 10 in this context. Fs used the now obsolete onmyPage as far as I could tell.

As Aamir explained in a few posts back, the decision to not encrypt sounds was a hard one, and based on player advantages. The fact they are contained in a .dat file, means they are compacted for game use. Since the licence says: no disassembling, the only part of the sounds that aught to be on your harddrive is sounds.dat . disassembly may not be the utmost correct term, but it's how i see it. If a game just has a sounds folder, well, you could certainly listen to the sounds, but even then, that doesn't entitle you to use them or just do whatever you want with them. I sort of compare sounds.dat with the ahc account: you're supposed to use it to play or activate the game, and that's where it stops. Or, are you going to use your cd/dvd/bd-r(w)drive as a cup holder, just because you can, but you're not supposed to?
