You can, with the ToggleX addon for NVDA, turn off the speech dictionary with NVDA+0 then d. This prevents NVDA from breaking words and numbers apart, and as long as the # symbol is preserved, you'll be able to pass the tags to the synthesizer. Note that not all tags work with all voices, and some have rather cheesy speech equivalents rather than recorded clips. I don't remember where the tags are exactly, but they're stored as an LST file somewhere in each voices' directory.

Its an offline space game played from a top down perspective where you control your character on ground and on ship doing various activities to make money and upgrade your ship. Development was quick in coming but one day everything just stopped and I didn'tt follow the polotics behind that so don't know why, which is a shame because I was genuinely excited for this.

This is ironic, I got too taken up with playing the game to write more of the guide, and yet I'm seeing people are needing one. I also did all the missions which meant playing with some different ships, though I'm back in my Gecko now and just getting enough cash for the ull regen system before I start slaughtering my way to elite rank and purchice of a moon .to answer Ironcross comment about firing. Basically, one thing to remember is all lasers in the game are continuous beams. when you hear a low thrumming pulse, it means the enemy is firing on you and doing damage, so if you hear that you need to do something pretty quick. I admit the spawn rate takes a bit of getting used to but after playing for a good while now, including a while playing with the worm and some low end ships like the krite and the moray I actually don't think its too bad, particularly since you can always overdrive or jump out of trouble. One slightly confusing thing spawn rate wise, is that ships will always come to get floating cargo canisters, in low danger systems this isn't an issue, but in high danger systems unless you've got a ship with a good turning speed and laser, you'll end up bighting off more than you can chew. Also since your more likely to end up with unprovoked attacks in high danger systems, if your going to need to head to a star to refuel, choose somewhere safe to do it, same goes fore asteroid mining and so on.Speaking of navigation, there is also a handy trick I use when I'm trying to find a particular thing on the other side of an object. if I'm looking for a freeport on the far side of a terran planet, obviously going through the planet's atmosphere where anyone can target me is a bad idea. I could fly around the planet using conventional engines, but that takes time. So while I do is first turn so it tells me the planet is on my right, then give a quick blast of overdrive, then turn to the freeport. This also works if you have an auto pilot destination programmed and it wants to fly you  through a giant or something, just get the giant to your right, give a quick burst of overdrive, then hit f twice  reengage the auto pilot, if you have a straight line, then just use the overdrive to get there quickly. Using this method I've got to a lot of points I need to go in dangerous sytems without running into too much trouble, though I still try to be careful when refuelling.Armour and the hull regeneration upgrade are a must if you want to do serious combat, though obviously the faster ship you've got and the better your flying the less you get hit. As to combat itself, the first thing to remember is that your laser isn't too precise. As soon as you hear your ship's scanner bean change from the usual sound to a higher pitched foe indicator, you can hit and hold the i key to do continuous damage. pay attention to distance, since the closer you get to your target the less likely they are to damage you. I believe lasers do more damage at close range too, but don't quote me on that.pay attention though since you don't want to overshoot, though if you blast the ship before it gets away from you and your running along at full speed you can pick up any loot rather easily. Also bare in mind, ships will sometimes eject cargo canisters, so the high pitched foe indicator will suddenly change to the normal scanner beam and you'll be told the distance and type of the cargo, If this happens, then target the enemy again, find the high pitched sound and keep firing since while some fugitives will try to drop cargo and run, others will come after you while you pick up the goods, so better safe than sorry.The second thing to pay attention too is the enemy beacon which tells you if a ship is ahead or behind. If its ahead you can usually keep moving and target it with your laser, if its behind, you need to immediately stop and try a quick spin round to get it, then throttle up again.The last thing to take note of is the status indicator which tells you a fugitive is entering the area. You can centre this sound directly and start blasting immediately they pop up if your quick, especially if your ship is travelling at a low speed. indeed as a rule of thumb, unless a ship is immediately in front of you, your better off throttling down to target, and throttling up to chase, which will also make it harder for enemies to target you.Hth. Quick details from Maximilian's stream...Crushing blows can stack, meaning possible touch of death combos because they do so much damage.You can change input buffer time.There is now a parry mechanic.Meter burning with the block button is gone, each move has it's own meter burn command. Not sure if I like that one.Tapping up quickly results in a short hop instead of a normal jump.These mechanic changes are definitely more interesting, but we'll have to see how they actually work out while playing in a few months.

I've not used the worm, good lord, if it only has 2 fuel, that means that you will pretty much have to refuel at every system. Remember, there are two ways to refuel. Buy it at planets and stations, or harvest it from stars, minus the neutron, which contains no fuel material.The combat area of the game is where I have my most gripes, and its not just the high spawn rate, but yes that needs balanced out. It's also how ships can just hit you whenever they please, its like the AI has no fudge factor. They could be missing and there is just no sound for a miss, but if so, that's a grave oversight on the developer's end. No offense meant, but you really should hear when people are firing at you, even if that is not a hit, that way you know you're in serious trouble. When you hear what a few in the community have dubbed the, "parrot sound", which is the incoming fugitive, you have no way of really knowing how far he is. You can get that information by targeting him, which means center the ship in your stereo field, and you could also hear the engines, and where they correspond to the radar and so forth, but if they're firing their weapon, it needs to make sound regardless of whether it his or not. I don't know if that is the case, though I've wondered for a few days now.

They don't work for NVDA at the moment. Acapella said they might add them later but that was about half a year ago when I asked. The sounds work in text allowed but you got to buy each voice which is costly. As for the expressions the voices only work in text allowed when you buy them. Especially now, because the edit field is now irrelevant, and the key-grabber allows you to technically control nvda remote from anywhere by pressing f11 like we're all used to. This is what fixes android's infamous windows key and alt+tab problems that weren't really problems so much as hurdles to jump through for a fully keyboard-driven android remote experience.

Is There an Adapter For This

Hey guys. So, you know those headset mics that have two 3.5mm connectors, one for the headphone part and one for the mic? I'm looking for an adapter that turns these two things into one, so that I can plug it into my phone and use the mic I have. In my case I have a pair of headphones and a pair of in-ear binaural microphones. I tried connecting the microphones to the phone and using them by themselves, but it treats them like headphones. Thanks in advance for the help.

This is clearly a phobia of sorts. It's helpful to know you're not the only one because feeling like a weirdo makes these things even worse. But this is a very small community, so because no one shares it, doesn't mean you're the only one who has it. I don't know what age you are, but the more open you can be about this the better. The trouble is that sort of thing gets a lot easier as you age. When you're young, the idea of being outside the norm is much harder to deal with. I for instance have suffered with paruresis for a long time. It's an inability to urinate in public lavatories, or anywhere that isn't completely private. It first happened when I started going to pubs at about 15. I felt like a child among men, and I'm sure this was the start of it. It's one of those things that is easy to reinforce, and very difficult to unlearn, so it becomes a downward spiral very fast. I'm 46 now, and last year went on holiday for the first time in over 20 years. The idea of being stuck on a plane for hours and not be able to escape to somewhere more private to use a lavatory was too hellish so I just didn't go on holiday. I wanted to go on holiday with my family last year because my parents are getting old and we rarely spend much time all together as a family anymore, so I didn't want to be absent yet again. The first thing I did was tell everyone what I'd been suffering from all these years. Just that one thing made things a lot easier. I started going to public lavatories with my dad, starting with quieter ones, then gradually working up to busier places. I went to the doctor and got some chill pills too just in case they helped, and everything went better than I could have hoped. I'm far from over it though, and if it wasn't for having bluetooth headphones and a phone so I could play music to drown out the sound of public noise, I would still have struggled. Anyway, the point of all this seemingly irrelevant waffle is that the first step is to start opening up about what you're going through. You should really think about telling your teachers at least. Admitting I couldn't piss in public because of shyness and insecurity was not easy, and the fact that none of my family had ever heard of this thing made it even harder, but it had to be done. Don't suffer in silence, tell people. You've made a start coming on here, so keep moving in that direction.

I still keep getting fired upon every time I try an target the enemies in the game.but no matter what speed I go to like fast or slow the enemies will ambush me even When I'm trying to aim my laser so that I can fire upon them.should I either shoot before or after the ship is in my radar or not?the spawning rate is way too fast and I wish that the enemies would not move so that I can practice my aiming and fireing.

The help section regarding smilies doesn't appear to be complete, I've seen people use icons such as yikes before. But basically, the forum converts emoticons to images when it detects them, I think that's what the never show smilies as icons for this post option is for.

no no, you simply need a web server, a file on it with a version such as 1.2, and then convert that to a string to number using the string_to_number() function. then you need to either tell the players its out of dateor up to date or failed to check, depending on whether  the version double of the player's program is less than, equal to, or greater than that of the latest versoin double which we got from our string to number. hope this helps!

Hello BlindSaiyan.To understand what all those strange bird-like sounds mean it is best to listen to the sound descriptions, which can be found in the main menu. Just select "audio indicators".The movement of your ship works as follows:There are three different methods of flying your ship. The slowest is the normal drive, which you use while you are close to objects such as planets, stars, nebulas ETC. With the w and s keys you can accelerate respectively deaccelerate from 1 slowest to 10 fastest. This is important when battleling ships or collecting goods.Much faster than that is the overdrive engine, which you can use by constantly holding down the o key. It is used to bridge the gaps between the objects within a solar system, e.g. when flying from nebula to free port ETC. First turn your ship towards the desired object, and as soon as it is directly in front of you, hold down o until you reach it. The overdrive is not working when you are close to an object or when you are inside of an asteroid field, nebula or whithin a planets atmosphere.Last but not least, the jump drive is used to jump from solar system to solar system. Press p to create a jumping vortex in front of you and accelerate your ship with the w key to fly into it. You will hear a rattling sound indicating your hyperspace jump and find yourself in another solar system. Don't change directions or activate the overdrive while you have an active vortex in front of you or you will miss it and won't jump anywhere. Just like the overdrive, the Hyperspace jump won't work whithin atmospheres, nebulas ETC.To reach a specific place, lets say a harvestable Asteroid field, it's easiest to land on an inhabited planet or freeport and ask for directions to the next asteroid field. When you do this, your auto pilot is programmed with the Destination coordinates.As soon as you Launch your ship, you will hear the Auto Pilot turn your ship towards the right direction. As soon as you hear "jump now", press p to initiate the hyperjump. Since you can only jump from one System to its closest  neighbors, multiple jumpss may be necessary to reach your destination.After you have reached the desired system, the auto pilot will turn you towards your destination and announce "fly to destination". This means that you have reached the right system and must use the conventional drive from now on. Just use the overdrive to fly to your destination. Messages regarding the carla's perticipation has already been fixed and waiting for public release. Since I didn't want the same lines all over the place, I moved it to ingame general messages and applied changes to the software side.I will log the other translation issues and accordingly fix it. Well as far as the achievements go, even though it does not say billion it does go to the next achievement cause I was on the 12th one and it did turn to the next one so I think you really can still get the rest of them but can't say for sure, until I let it run to see if it continues to go higher on the achievements.

Stars are virtual values you can buy to support the project. Currently, they can do 3 different things, however more is planned for the future. First, you can exchange them for toys. Second, you can exchange them for invinsibility cap, which allows you to visit public spaces without being visible. Third, you can change your nickname for one star. You can also gift them to your friends. They can also be won by winning competitions, tournaments or quizzes.

@ironcross32... yeah I get that, but 1, what am I actually supposed to do at first when I want to go to a destination, because every time I ask for directions to an alien system it just says a bunch of numbers and something like distance 11 or something similar... and 2, as I say, the auto pilot just keeps asking me to jump, even if I wasted my 2 units of fuel pressing P. :d

I am finally starting to get the hang of things with my first ship being a cobra with a mining laser that I upgraded to a military laser and I can run about 1k credits or so from a full cargo, but I am always having trouble finding a nebula which is why I gave up on the worm, and I saw that the first place in the special location was way more jumps than I have fuel for.

Hello!I would also like to say thanks to the developer of this game. Free audio games of that quality are quite rare. Since I am a big fan of any kind of Scifi, this game is just what I was waiting for. :-)I have played it quite a lot in the last days and have reached the dangerous rank today, and was also able to buy a nicely equipped Annaconda.However, there are still a few things which I don't really understand.Is there a easy way to find out which objects are located in the current system? The only method which I have found so far is to constantly turn around my ship until I have found what I am looking for. It would be quite helpful to see in an instant wheter e.g. an astroid field or a planetoid is present in the system or not. Is there a way to do this appart from circling around like an asteroid myself?Another thing that I have not found out yet is if its possible to determine how far the border - let's say of an asteroid field, is away from me, when I am inside of it. If I am attacked and want to reach a position from where I can jump than it would be extremely helpful to know how far away from the jumping border I currently am or which way I should turn to leave the asteroid field quickest.What's more, I would like to know wheter there are any rules which define how much credits you pay or receive for a specific good at a specific location. For example: If a systems mineral type is gold, will this make gold cheaper or more expensive on a free port in that system? Are there any relations between a systems mineral type and the prices which you pay or get for it at the local markets?Sometimes it can be quite frustrating to have a full hold of a specific ware when you have to fly from system to system to find a buyer who is willing to pay a lucrative price for it.I would be grateful for some information.Last but not least I would like to give a few suggestions about the user interface, which I consider to be quite strange and unnecessarely complicated to operate. The menu structure, especially the way of going back, takes longer than it would have to. A key to launch the ship would also be very helpful, because its needed so often, and a way of going to the top or bottom of a menu would also make the gameplay more efficient.Additionally, the "ask for directions"-command should better be placed within the auto pilot menu on my opinion.Appart from that, the game is quite funny and contains lots of possibilities for future enhancements.Great job, Freeman69, Kind regards from Daniel.

P is how you get between systems, but you need to be accelerating first, or you won't do anything but sit there. It creates a vortex in front of your ship, but you still need to fly through it. The sounds thing, I felt the same way, I can't really give you any advice on that front but to stick with it, and keep checking out the sound indicators menu, and eventually it will become no big deal.O is how you traverse in-system distances quickly. If you hear something like dwarf to left, you then then it says medium ahead, so you press R to get the range to target, and it says 5000, then doing normally even at 10 is still going to be really slow, so you'd hold down O to skip across space to near enough the target, then enter.Someone said something a few posts back about a sound when you centered a target, but why? A) it would be another sound to learn and B) you already know if a target it centered if its in the center of the stereo image. The indicator doesn't start beeping until its within a small arc in front of you, the radar will pick it up quicker, and the arc of its operation is greater.

This is a really interesting concept. So if it's a pen pal type of thing, rather than you already knowing the person with whom you want to exchange letters, how will the AI match you with people who you're compatible with? Will it be used as a dating app, or strictly for making friends? Since sensitive information will undoubtedly be shared using this app, what, if any, encryption will be used? Finally, if someone uses this app to harass someone, for example, will that person be banned from the platform? In other words, will there be rules in place, or will it be more of a free-for-all like Vorail that you would use at your own risk?

HI.Like a number of people it seems, I'm also having trouble getting started in the game.Like literally, I choose my faction, start at the beginning because why not, and then i'm virtually plunged into this haze of sounds which gives me the impression of a bunch of drones scaring some birds. :dBut seriously, I can't go to any planet or anything.The auto pilot says jump now, so I press o, i hold O, nothing happens apart from hearing a kinda weird sound.When I press P, it says something like Vortex 30 and then says jump now again, and on pressing P a second time, drains my 1 remaining fuel unit, only to be asked to jump again? *looks confused*Any help would be appreciated, as I really would like to say something good about this gameThanks in advance.

Hi,@theblindsaiyan,Thanks a lot for your fast reply. The thing actually is, i am blind as well  But i realize now that ai and eye do sound the same, however they're written differently. I ment, seeing AI, as in artificial intelligence, an iphone app from microsfot which is quite dedicated into reading textual information, for example on a screen or a piece of paper.I think i will go to the game store this week and ask if i may try one in combination with pokemon let's go, but if you or others do have other or extra information, please don't hesitate to share. Not only me can learn and grow due to this, but we as community. Cause we have quite addapted the xbox, we pushed playstation more off thee boarder, however various members still use the console, my respect as well, no offence at all, but lets also see if we can addapt the switch more then it is currently being done, at least, as far as i know Greetz mike

Hey Pelantas.As a Nintendo Switch user myself, I unfortunately can't give any information about visual presentations as I am totally blind, however I can say that every time I've needed sighted assistance, they seemed to be able to read it, even at the low brightness setting I have it on, which can be increased or decreased to your liking .Every time you launch a game, the most recent game icon will be brought to the front, unless there is a way of keeping the games in order which I don't know about, but I've managed with this, and as a sighted user, you should have no trouble with the layout As for games, Dragon Ball Fighter Z is quite accessible, not including the story mode which is like a tile layout I don't understand. :d.Apart from that, I don't really go for games like Smash Bros and stuff because it aint my cup of tea, however I'm sure you will find a game suitable for you, as there is a big variety of Mario games to choose from that have been ported to the switch, surprise surprise! :d.I'm sorry my advice hasn't been as positive as I would of liked it to be, but at least I gave you all the info I had, better take advice you won't regret rather spending 250£GBP/300$USD on something you can't or won't play with.

Add the accelerating hyperpartisanship turning these things into package deals[1], and you have people on both sides being less willing to denounce their extremists, because disagreeing with your own has become the same as agreeing with the worst examples of the other side, for some ungodly reason.[1] This is stupid and destructive and needs to stop. I can criticize Richard Spencer without being an SJW, and I can criticize Antifa without being a Nazi. No person or ideology is without flaw. If you are marching into battle, and your neighbor's armor has an obvious weak spot, you are not betraying them to suggest they look into getting it fixed before it turns them into a casualty.

Hi all,After the topic of arqmeister about pokemon let's go and a recording of a blind friend who uses the nintendo switch as his primary mainstream console, i became interested in this console as well. However i am mainly a xbox user, i am really considering into adding this console to my gaming arsenal. But i have a few questions:1. How readable are the texts with seeing ai, i know that differences can occur 2. Can the main interface of the switch be read with seeing ai as well, or is it learning the menu's and associated sounds of the various pictograms?3. Are there any other playable games then pokemon let's go and super mario smash brothers?As i said earlier, i heard that every pictogram does have it's own sound, and that pokemon let's go is quite playable with the new sound design. So, I watched the live stream this afternnon, and here are my thoughts.1: Baraka and Skarlet are back! That's amazing!2: X-Ray's aren't a thing anymore. It's now called Fatal Blow, and it sounds more like super moves from Injustice. Not sure if I like it, sounded pretty overpowered from the gameplay.3: The gear system, from what I heard, is not, at all, as intensive as Injustice 2. Sure, you can customize it, but it's super cosmetic rather than stat based. It might change your attacks ever so slightly, but instead of 5 gear slots there's now 3, so even now you don't have to worry about all that. And, if my friend was correct, you have 5 base variations to play with.Final Thoughts: I'm optimistic. It's new, it's entertaining, and I can't wait for the game. It remains to be seen how much the gear really effects stuff, but it doesn't seem like it will be as inaccessible as we all think. Side note, The sounds for full meters are back. That was in the gameplay I heard.I'm excited!

HI,I honestly don't think so, cause as conner stated, bgt isn't capable of working with numbers past the 999.999.999. So i don't think it will be possible to get the remaining achievements. When i continue work on the redesign of the framework, i will add code so the game can't get past a certain number, and kind of a trade in so you can trade in for example 100.000.000 cookies into a special kind of cookie. I know it isn't linked to the original cookie clicker, but in some cases i have to work around the limitations of bgt.But i am currently stuck in two online projects, one of which is based on logd, and the second one is based on a mafia script of which we have the source, which probably will become vandettacrime 2.0 at some point, don't know of this second thing yet. I am currently working stuff out with sideweaver. All in all, lots of stuff to be done for me now, but i am also working with the team to finish beta 3.1 for Your_adventure. I'd also like to believe that most feminists are reasonable people,  but third wave (or what some are calling fourth wave) feminism is mainly online, so all those one sided posts where men get raked over the coals as a hole for everything with no real responsibility given to women, or winy complaints about near non issues like manspreading and perceived microaggressions getting tens of thousands of likes or retweats don't give me that much confidence about the current state of the movement.It's always nice to know that more mature women will be their to shout them down, but it seems like their voices get carried away by the storm.I'd hope their just letting out their frustrations and that they wouldn't act like that in real life? but that kind of mental poison isn't helping anyone and the more attention it gets, the more impressionable young women, and men too will be exposed to it and start thinking it's reasonable.Same shit happens with the rabid anti SJW media.I think it's more likely that a younger woman would appreciate the help around the house for sure, but I'm talking about people growing up with mother's in their 40s who don't want to teach them or at least never feel the need to prompt it, and I've seen that allot my self. Which is the same reasoning behind how older generations act here of course...It's easy to look back on previous generations with scorn for their (unenlightened ways) from a place of security... One which they fought for us to have. It's one of the most fucked up parts of society IMO.

yeah but third wave (or what some are calling fourth wave) feminism is mainly online, so all those one sided posts where men get raked over the coals as a hole for everything with no real responsibility given to women getting hundreds or thousands of likes don't give me that much confidence about the current state of the movement.I'd hope their just letting out their frustrations and that they wouldn't act like that in real life? but that kind of mental poison isn't helping anyone and the more attention it gets, the more impressionable young women, and men too will be exposed to it and start thinking it's reasonable.Same shit happens with the rabid anti SJW media.I think it's more likely that a younger woman would appreciate the help around the house for sure, but I'm talking about people growing up with mother's in their 40s who don't want to teach them or at least never feel the need to prompt it, and I've seen that allot my self. Even so it's obviously not as bad as it would be another generation back from that...It just shouldn't have to be the job of a guy's girlfriend/wife to teach him these things, even if their both open to it. It's a good thing that they are, but it would be even better if more people were raised that way before adulthood.And this is just the highly developed world we're talking about too of course...

@4, yes the life is strange series are playable, but you need lots of patience to complete it.I’ve played both the prequel and the first season, however i haven’t played the other episodes of that game. I also haven’t played the second season but someday i’ll try that as well.As for let’s play suggestions, I would like you to record the story mode for soul calibur VI, tekken 7, or marvel vs capcom infinite.But if interactive movies is your thing, i recommend you to get planet of the apes last frontier or lates shift. The game is quite similar to the above mentioned life is strange or the telltale series, however there are no exploration, no puzzle elements, and no quick time events, so all you have to do is just making choices and watching the movie until the end.
