Re: music for games

not bad, though you need to tidy up the rhythm a bit on the trumpet and the snare drum, if you intend to have a section that is just like the one you posted in the demo preview.

Re: Crazy party sound sourcing

I think what is embarrassing in this case, according to pragma himself, is to tell the people who have contributed to the cp existing sounds years ago, that their work is not worth it, or not accepted because it has copyrighted sounds.Still, is a bit of a weak argument, because the game has been out there long enough for now, and because that is what this topic is precisely about... making it easier so all one would have to do, as a developer, is to just copy and paste a folder structure, because the editing, naming, mixing, cutting, splitting, chopping, adjusting, crossfading, whatever is necessary for sounds to work would have been already, done. its like a mod for the game. But still, its your game and its your call, if illegal sounds on your game are not a problem at all (and  this proves a point, an argument that is irritatingly months old, and honestly way way past its expiration date) and you feel that there is no point on doing or facilitating any of this, then I guess we can at  least said we tried and there are 48 posts to back it up as a result.

In the mean time, more broken and unfinished projects or games, more scorn and arrogance from other devs, and python and audiogames will still be an embarrassingly sad mess all around.tbh, I still feel there is an unmovable brick wall between me as a power user and programming, though I have done very simple projects in the past using other languages, but there is so much to learn and as far as I have read on other people's problems, sometimes some things work and others they don't and then its because of a library that is not being implemented right or something is outdated and there is always this sort of temporary solution and individualism over things that its actually very hard to try and get started somewhere.

Re: beginners guide to lucia

agreed, its much better to clone the repo. For all of git related stuff I use this direct shell integration, it has helped a lot. Comparing the generated one and the other, I can say that the Documentation posted online is a bit out of date, or at least, I saw much more stuff on the one I cloned and its all really interesting. Having just a very basic grasp of the lisp language for sheet music making I will spend some time with this and hope to achieve something decent.

I am running into a problem too,.. either I am just dumb or have not versed myself enough into how python works butI executed everything in the installation instructions from a command line and was surprised that most of it worked, then read how that is possible and all is good... until the instructions say:go into the docs folder,cd docsI really have not got a clue where the docs folder is in windows. I was able to browse to where python and even where lucia is installed, but where is the docs folder? I cannot generate any documentation.I saw a docs folder in the pygame library but that's it.

lol, just lol.. the second edition is for p3, if you read and thoroughly examine things, though some fundamentals would never hurt anyone, but turns out I am just wrong then.now, not sure if installing python 3 by itself will get you wx python does anyone know?I am interested in making an application to solve a simple problem here and I do not think it would be too complex, but there is lots to learn. Maybe one day that said app will turn it in some form of audio game. I will have to test if wx pythong also gives you a simple accessible gui interface out of the box
