Re: Clok Mud

I know it says way back when that this game is rp enforced, but for those familiar with actually playing the game long term, having experiences in the different guilds, how strict is it? I only ask as the game itself sounds truly wonderful, but I'll admit, I'm probably the world's worse rper ever. I don't mind keeping things in character, aside from a few slip ups here and there, but the going majorly into detail to do the smallest action, I've never been good at. I tend to solo a lot, if I can and really only try to ask for help if I need it, so would that be an issue?Either way, from all I read here about it's features and such, it sounds pretty cool.Take care.

Re: Metal gear solid walkthrough

Hahaha, that's a neat idea, using the stinger for the first fight with wolf. I'd herd that folks were doing some sort of work to make this little beastie accessible or a walkthrough or whatever, but I'd always been curious how one would do that first wolf battle without sight. I was fortunate enough to be able to play the game, when I still had enough vision and it's definitely a treasure.Very cool stuff. Take care.

Re: Muds

Hi,To be honest, an accessible mud can mean quite a lot, when you take into consideration how many games are floating about. However, this is what I personally look for, when Im testing out a new game. First, when youre traveling around the world, how dependent is the player on maps, if any. Can the game be configured to allow the same amount of access, either with an accessible map or without one. Second, the prompt, and how its displayed. How does your screenreader handle reading the information you have chosen to show up in the prompt, can you add your own custom prompts, add a newline to the end of it, etc. This one is a really big one for me, as without the newline character, NVDA always repeats stuff, on commands, such as look. Just for an example of a game thats made to be completely accessible, with loads of configurable info, give alter aeon a look, plus, Dentin is always adding content, which is nice. I personally dont play there to mu
ch these days, but its a good game.Hope this gives you a few ideas, and take care.Jeremy

Re: 3Kingdoms, questions, tips, and advice on any accessibility issues?

Excellent, and thank you for getting back. Id noticed, what I thought to be some sort of ASCII type stuff around the output for the exits on rooms, figured it was part of some type of map. I went searching for other forums on possible settings to make things prettier with a reader, reason Id finally asked here. I admit, I didnt tinker around much with the options that you can toggle on/off, so I may have missed something too.Anyways, thank you for the tips, they are greatly appreciated. Jeremy

3Kingdoms, questions, tips, and advice on any accessibility issues?

Hey all,Just writing the forums to ask if anyone could perhaps provide any tips for playing 3Kingdoms. Just from the very limited experience I have so far, I cant seem to track down any settings that make things more friendlier with a screenreader, specifically, toggling off the ASCII stuff they use. Also, outside of the ASCII settings, what else may a person using a screenreader want to be aware of when playing this game? From what I read on the webpage, it has a lot of stuff that really looks neat, but it also appears to be a very large world, so what, if any, tips can folks provide on good guilds to begin with, good areas to explore, tips on collecting eq, renting/quitting, depending on what method they use, etc. Lastly, Im not much a PKer, so would this cause me any issues?this is all assuming that folks have, and are comfortable playing the game.thank you and take care.
