@lemm, a suggestion for future development/your consideration.Id like to see abilities added in that are contingent on the character having a piece of gear/type of ability, stat point. For example, a monk might not be able to do physical damage to a ghost unless he has a special technique that he learned. A warrior might not be able to use the slash ability without wielding a sword/dagger. A mage might not be able to cast the volcanic eruption spell without 25 intelligence.Just something to consider.

After the end of May, all our projects will be rendered useless, right? I've got a nice forest built up with a couple of traps, roaming mobs, a few quests, a bandit camp, a grizzly bear's cave, and the gates to the starter town. But after this trial is over, all of this will just be unusable?If that's the case, are there plans to release this project as commercial use some time in the near future, or  is that far off? I'd love to add to my current set up, and would also enjoy the ability to code in more classes, such as rogue, ranger, and paladin, as well as fixing stats. For example, I wish the cleric had some stamina as well. Alternatively, I'd love to have 5 starter classes: warrior, mage, cleric, monk, and rogue, and have each specialize at levels 5, 10, 20, etc. Warriors into berserkers/rangers/gladiators/blademasters, monks into psionicists/samurai/spirit knights/ironsouled, rogues into assassins/bards/illusionists/nightblades, clerics into paladins/healers/deathknights/druids, and mages into elementalists/necromancers/illusionists/summoners.

@362, I do see that in status effects, but it seems to only gives the target a percent of dropping the status effect. So for example, when playing, a mob used kick on my weak cleric, and it lasted for 3 rounds. I just want the knock back status effect to last exactly for 1 round, and there's only a 10 percent chance of said status activating after using the ability kick.

@Lemm, maybe I'm just dumb, but I'm trying to get my kick ability to have a small chance of doing knock back damage which will inhibit the target from acting a turn. However, I just want the knock back status that I have in to last only 1 round, not have a chance of doing running longer. Which option is this?

From my understanding, only NPC's can issue quests, correct? Can items do the same? For example, I want to start off with the character waking up in the middle of a forest, unknowing of how they got there. All they find nearby is a pack with a few weak healing potions, some gear, and a letter. The letter would be a criptic note to the character, telling them to find So and So in an inn to the town east of said forest but that the character needs to rescue 3 others from the forest before daring to show their face at the inn. So then the player has to go rescue his three other party members. Is any of this doable? Starting out with 1 character, adding the three others to the party as they travel the forest while fighting randomly spawned mobs as well as a few bosses? The quest would be issued by reading the note.

@Lemm, I'm looking to create a shieldbash move that would only work if a shield is equipped. Is something like this in the works? Or is it already implemented and I've just missed it? I'm also looking for a disarm ability but can't figure out how to make the opponent drop their weapon. I suppose it could just inhibit them from doing melee for 1 round?

I've emailed you the projects folder, @lemm. Thanks!!!  I was wondering if there's X amount of stat points each character gets per level? That way if I know, I can say that say, a level 4 enemy, will have that number times 4 plus the original stat total number for his own stat total. For example, if say a warrior gets 7 points of new stats across the board allocated to certain stats per level, and say if he starts out with 66 total stat points when you add up his stats at level 1, you'd know that at level 4, he should have 66+7*4 = 94.That way, the enemy will be roughly on par in terms of stat numbers with the party. Or if I wanted to create a band of enemies, I'd create weaker mobs with lower stat totals to balance out the issue of the number of opponents.

Hey @lemm, thanks for your response. I'm still having issues with the monk being insanely over powered. When he does hit, it's an instant kill. I've even tried making another map with the same abilities. At first, when I switch the dice of unarmed from 1d6 to 1d10, his attack changes to something like 2 and 32, with an average of 17. This is at level 1. So that's a little strong, but nothing crazy like that numbers I've seen, right? Then I went and created some weapons and gear for the rest of the party. The weapons are all 1d4 and 1d6, with no other effects to stats, health, etc. One sword does have an accuracy bonus of 1, but that's it. In terms of the gear everyone, including the monk, is wearing, it's a Leather Jerkin with an armor rating of 2 and an evade of 1, a pair of sturdy leather boots with an armor rating of 1 and stamina plus 1, and a Traveling cloak with an armor rating of 1. So over all, the monk has 1 accuracy, 4 armor, and 15 evade. And now, all of a sudden, his unarmed damage ranges from 4 to 144, with an average of 144. The only thing I can think of is that unarmed damage is calculated in another way? I'm not sure what to do here.

Is anyone else having problems with the monk being insanely over powered? When I go to view class, the cleric, warrior, and mage all seem to be doing well with their range of attack, but the monk is so weird that his gap is from 9 to 700. I don't know what happened. The average being in the 300's makes him pretty much one-hit anything. And this is all at level 1. I did the martial arts thing just like the game told us to. I can't for the life of me figure it out, but I'd love to.

Hi there. Thank you for the swift response. I'm still a little unsure about stats. Is it set in stone that a level1 warrior will have the same stats everytime there is a level1 warrior? That being said, how does his con modifier give him 32 hp, whereas my mage's con grants him 15 total? Are the modifiers different for each class? How are mana and stamina also calculated per class?I was also wondering if an ability can be created that is dependent on certain things. For example, creating a shield bash ability would be neat, but it'd need to depend on if the warrior has a shield equipped. @239, I have a decent sound library from assisting with a soundpack in a mud I used to play. Some were free royalty sounds, others are from youtube and other libraries, etc.

Holy crap. I have a giant sound library, so this is great. I love the idea. First off, I have a few questions. Can someone explain to me the damage calculator of dice rolls? Like... What's better? 1D12, or something like... 3d4? I've never played D&D, so pretend I'm an idiot. Secondly, how are hp/mana/stamina calculated per class? I don't understand how my warrior starts out with 32. Is this static, or is it random?Third, is there a way to add in classes? I like the cleric, mage, warrior, and monk starters, but come on. No rogue? I'd love to add in other things too, like a mixed hybrid (dark knight) etc. Fourth, should monsters have higher stats and hp than characters at the same level because they'll be facing off against a party? Or is this solely based up to me? What are the rules of this?Fifth, going back to HP, is there a way to fix it so that 1 point of con will just grant 10 hp,  1 point in int will give 10 points of mana, etc? This tool is so great. It allows me to channel my inner creative mode and I don't have to be a computer wizz to figure most things out. Great job, guys. If this is buyable after May 31, I want to do so

Hey there. Am I doing something wrong? Managed to get windows defender to install the game, but when I load with Jaws on, everything is suuuper delayed. For example, while going through the main menu, it takes about 10 seconds after I hit an arrow key for the cursor to click and move, and a new option to be selected.

Hi there. Just started playing this game.. Is there a walkthrough? I've played for approx 3 hours, but most of it is just exploration, reading journal/diary entries, and interacting with the girls, such as playing hide and go seek with Eve, telling Anna she's doing a good job, and at one point, showing off for one of the girls while in the shower. I've gone to town, gone to the bookworm store in hopes to get Anna a gift, but see no actions to do anything such as purchasing books or interacting with any of the town's NPC's. One of the only actions I could locate in town, despite going to every location I could see, is picking up a chick for a quicky. Nothing to do at the park, other shops, etc. Am I missing something? I'm on Version A37, I think. What should I be focusing on doing?
