You have just one round for example and when it is over it is over and your attack is changing from this weapon to the normal attack. That worked pretty great and this is why I love old capcom beat em ups: Simple mechanics but great gameplay and balance. Well, that's the problem there: I can see a HUGE inspiration from BK3 which is really a positive but the combat mechanic looks like really chaotic without any logic of attacking / defending / lack of dodging etc. No combos, even no combo-presets like in streets of rage series and so on plus no matter if you're attacking an enemy he will still attack you so that is not working properly in my mind.This momentum thing si really cool but you need to gegt used to it and it could take a while.My feelings are positive though and this game is really potnetial to be better when Omar will go in the right direction. I'll trust them and back the game so I hope my testing will help improving some areas of the game based on my experiences gained by playing a LOT ov video games. I was able to get to the last boss (act three) but still after every death I feels like I am learning. Xbox controllers are automatically detected when you plug in (wired one) to your USB port. No idea what about wireles.PS4 one (Dualshock4) is detected when the steam is enabled but not all games are working with it. You need a ds4 windows program to emulate the xbox controller which works with DS4 one what I am using currently. The atmosphere is good really but in my personal opinion gameplay is screwed up a lot like in most chineese games I've played (nothing again chinese stuff though haha)You must be ready for the most irritating hidden items system and what is more stupid VERY IMPORTANT ITEMS you will need later on so not picking up stuff earlier can results in you will being stuck later without any way to progress. Sniper section is really easy. Remember to sprint when you can't cover and duck a lot. Sometimes just don't rush, just keep iit slow and you will be fine. In Shadow rine for example, you have a sounds of something in rage and out of range, the same with enemies, ou can see if you are in their range or not.Japanese games are great source of learning as they are introduces totally fresh and unique ways of how you can do something really great instead of repeating the known systems which are, well, not that great in my opinion. Swamp for example: I NEVER played anything bad like that in terms of navigation and you need to know I am playing video games mostly.In audio games the japense devs showed me navigation can be good, working and intuitive without remembering the numbers, coordinates and without any kind of scanning methods IE. Spam a button to scan after every single turn. The only good wester relase (A hero's call) implemented very good nav system and of course The Last of us PART II, but it is video game.What is really working in the game is how HRTF works, it is really nice plus the audio cues of the objects around. Re: The last of us part ii discussion @SLJ basically this is the one of the problems with the scanner. No idea why devs and Brandon didn't add anything like when in listening mode every button can scan for group of different items e.g. Circle - items only, Y - enemies, X - artifacts / others like coins, documents etc. Right now I collected most of the stuff (I hope) as my viewers helped me especially in the sections like the navigation system just failed. It is totally bad when you want to craft your weapons but first of all you want to wander around for more parts and go back to the bench.Try to go to the item nearest you, most of the items have sounds attached to it like a paper, ammo, doors like drawers. Only artifacts and story related stuff haven't any so it is kinda tricky and someone suggested to try to go to the next mussion objective with l3 (keep in mind if you will be too far the scanner will not detect the items you wanted to pick up so watch out for that).If there are multiple items around you but the scanner is guiding you to the mission-related (which I hate personally and this is why I suggested to add other buttons for different group of items), just turn around manually and scan tring to move there on your own.And yeah, please, if you have any working solution how to dead with this rat kind let me know!Thanks and hope it helps a bit! Well, actually you can call it not constructive criticism but the devs are releasing games and they are just doing everything wrong in every single one when talking about mechanics.The first Inquisitor game was the best one from everything I've played from them even, if it was buggy as hell that was fun a lot! This one dissussed here? Well, a pile of crap with totally screwed audio mixing, wrong implemented navigation / battle system (well, battle in this game is just the most frustrating and boring I ever seen in turn-based games)Main problem with navigation is how slow it works. Waiting for these click after every single step is just boring and frustrating making me sleepy. Voice acting is kinda interesting but the mixing sucks plus so sad, they replaced the previous actor who played inquisitor, He was wy much better!No idea if I am just the one who needs really solid games (not complex, it is different!) but I can't see solid and stability in their productions.Look for japanese devs for example and you will understand what I mean by saying solid gameplay and stable game with complex (but not all the times) and fantastic even if the easy gameplay (Nyanchan small projects or Audio strike, just examples)And finally, don't judge the game by how it sounds! Audio is just audio and if it is needed to build the atmosphere (yeah, 8-bit can build it too. ) it is definitely not that important for me. If the gameplay is screwed than nothing will help here.
