I'd say the best solution is to drop off the carried resource in all cases except when the unit is stopped. for example: peasant in a1 exploits goldmine, is ordered to go to a2 immediately, drops off carried gold at townhall in b1, then walks to a2. This behaviour could be bypassed, perhaps, with control + enter. The only problem would arise if the townhall was destroyed, but then you have bigger worries.

@656I disagree. Coding games takes time, sure. but Sam does have plenty of time, he simply spends it on developing the update, and the developement of the update has taken quite long already. I'm not saying that the update should be rushed, but he could at least release a small patch fixing speedhacks. As far as I can tell, many players are affected, some worse than others. For some it makes the game unplayable, for some it just pops up from time to time. Isn't this a severe enough issue that it should be getting priority? apparently not.And yes, I am holding Sam to high standards, because of the following on his website:Redspot is probably now one of the best multi player audio friendly first person shooter games available! It includes over 25 items of destruction, and that grows all the time! It is completely accessable and there will probably always be someone to kill! The key to wasps is to not let them be near you for long. What you need to do in tree to climb?If you are going right, and you hear a wasp approaching, stand still, and listen to where it turns around. If that point is fairly close, chase it to the right, the wasp should turn around after a few squares, and it will come right back at you. WHen this happens, keep walking right. That way the wasp will not get a chanse to sting you.

Hosting servers is, complicated. The default port 2500 is fine, but you need to forward the port manually in your router, or your router should have upnp enabled. Since upnp can be a security risk, it is disabled on most routers.

Hello, Can someone give me some tips for stage 22-4, the mud fighter? I have a softpoint machine gun and super sniper rifle, but he keeps surrounding me with stone walls. I tried lime balls, but he isn't stunned at all. Only about 20 big iron balls got about 25% health off, but I bet the idea is not to use 80 big iron balls.

I like the idea that you can not login right after you go offline. But in addition, it might be a good idea to frese players for something like 15 seconds before there logged out. That way, people will not be able to go offline during a fight. I also have 2 minor bugs to repport: If you walk during your afk timer, the server will set your status to non-afk, but the client will say that your afk. This means you are unable to walk but that others can still target you. The other has to do with bullit bombs. If you set one up, and hit t to get into the tracking menu, then exit that menu again, you will be unable to move after the bomb is placed.

Oriol, how did you create these packs? did you use calculation and bpm to create them r did you program them by hand? if you did so by hand you might have introduced errors in the timing, because sometimes when I perform an action at a specific time and it works, and at other times it doesn't. if you want me to make a recording to prove it I'll do so, and the issues in the factory are there, read my post carefully, by dings I mean that controler person. you hear first right, left, right, left, big, but you have to do right, left, right, left, right, left, big. Hope that makes sence.

Hi, now I' m past the second level, put there are some bugs in the factory level. At one point a crate comes from the left and then you have to react after halfe a beat, at another you hear one coming from the right, then left, then right, then left, then big but afterwards you hear 7 dings. Also when I was level 2 I always failed on the same few sounds so it might be a little of both... it would be nice if you could hear the debug mode for an already created pack.

In my humble opinion...Sam of course has other projects that need working on. On the other hand, when you release an online game, you do have a certain responcibility to your players. The fact there is not even a post from Sam or an update of the message of the day saying that he's working on it gives the impression that this game is abandoned. And one sad fact is, if you can't enforse the rules, they are practically void.Stopping the basic cheating would probably not take that long, either. if you make a weapon timer check to find out if a player can already fire and do the same for movement, you'll have stopped most of the cheating. When there's more time you could make a copy of the inventory server-side and make the timestamp server based so that cheating will become next to impossible without the source code.

yes, but if you have let's say an ultralaser with 100 ammo, or 20 knives, that'll also increase your level. So it's just an indicator how many items someone hass. Now most of the items a high-level player will have are damage and defence and health, but weapons etc also count. Maybe I should change it so only damage/defence/health are counted.Now that I'm almost back home, I haave time to work on the code again. I'm not sure what's wrong with item spawning, have you added maps with the add_map command? if you haven't items won't spawn. Do too the feedback I'll postpown the 3d movement for now and focus on more important stuff like documentation and balancing what we have. The next update will probably feature a kustomisable store from a file and more documentation on new commands.

I currently don't have time to code on up, the limited time was also why I used this sourcecode in the firstplace:- I don't exactly know what you mean with charset level. If it's related to the strength of players and that stuff, I'll take care of that in the next update. Should I remove a player's inventory after death? and then make items easier to find and make stuff cheaper?- server updates should work reliable now. Why would having files instead of a change in the code change anything? things like the store would be handy in a file, but do you want things like minimum client version that can connect in a file too?- character logs. Just get them with /log, and you can search on charset and stuff. More filtering would be handy to add later though. I'll also look into storing voiceclips.- Ok, will do. I've never bought much from the store, so that's

Hi,I've just released client version 11.12 and server version 13.04. This fixes server updating, so anyone running version 13.02 of the server or lower will have to manually update to 13.04.The client update should be automatic. Client version 11.12 can only connect to server version 13.04 and older client versions can only connect to server versions 13.03 and earlier.

Hello, The new encryption is still a bit bugged so the server is still giving runtime errors often. Sorry about that.@post 11:I am not saying that ultrapower is mine, read post 1.Also, you can be assured that ultrapower is secure. If you don't trust me, go ahead and look at the code. The only thing you will have to trust me on is that the encryption key is long, and it most certainly is. I generated it with a random generator, and it's very, very long, I even put it into it's own include which is not given with the source.I'm still wundering, what is Ultrapower? specifically, What gives ultrapower such a bad reputation, and how do I break away from it? do I simply rename the game? Why do so many people want it to die off?Also, I just don't have the time/don't want to start from scratch. I have a 2 weak break that gives me the chance to work on something, and this genre of game is just not worthwhile coding from scratch,

Hello,Since ultrapower's source code was leaked I decided that I might as well try to clean up the code and make the game more secure.I introduced the following:- A server list is back.- everyone now has an unique encryption key for each session. This prevents snooping. The generic encryption key was updated too, with a very strong one. It's longer than 100 characters.Player's passwords are now hashed. This basically allows the server to compare if 2 passwords are equal, but its impossible to know what the password is, even with the source code. Previously you could easily decrypt all passwords with the source code, making the leaks even more dangerous. There’s also a completely new website for the game. After this release i plan to improve the balancing of the game, especially the level differences, as well as some sound improvements.If you are interested and want to try the game, check it out at http://roelvdwal.ddns.netNote: there might still be some bugs because of the changed encryption. The rank system was also reintroduced a while ago and certain commands might not work. Please report these issues so they can be fixed.

Please tell me why you consider me being immature just by taking this sourcecode and using it. I realize ultrapower doesn't have a good name, but that's, from what I can gather ,mainly of all the drama. If you believe I played a wrong part in that drama, then I understand where you're coming from. Yes true. But ultrapower was also fair in the beginning, And ns also helped on ultrapower. Now don't get me wrong, it might turn out ok, but I wouldn't be surprised if scroling battles pro goes down the tubes just like ultrapower.

Hi, Personally, I don't see how scroling battles pro is going to be better then any other of masons titles.Take 2dp premium and the first versions of up. He both made them freeware in a short time. I wunder if paying customers (if any) would get money back. and even when ultrapower was freeware there weren't many players online. If you take account that this is a payed game, you can at least expect halve of the ultrapower players not to pay for it, so you basically get some kind of ultrapower, with not as many people, and with a good chanse failing just like ultrapower did.

Hi, my server is still up on ip 84.85.7.236 standard port.If you want to host a server, keep the following in mind:1. Don't use any server version greater than 10.72, or 10.77. I'm not exactly sure, but you have to make sure you can't use the dev command from within the game. I'm not sure if I should post the code, but if you use 10.79 anyone can become a dev with the right code and have the same power as a cheef mod.2. Keep an eye on the server. It throws runtime errors sometimes.

Well true. I might also just shutdown this server entirely. It might also have helped if the dev command you put into the chatbox did not get stored in the logs for anyone to see. I've got a player on the server who figured out the command. Not only that, he's using eloquence crashwords as names. When I try to ban him or something, it says my message contains forbidden words. O well. The dev rank was just there to get abused I guess.

Nice game! currently I have the positions 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 12 and 14 on the speed round scoreboards. btw, there is a bug in the scoreboards for the normal game: people with the highest average reaction time are first.
