Hey!Just some ideas from a Spanish perspective.I am from Barcelona, Spain, so...First of all, I think the Spanish culture is, for obvious reasons, much more like yours than the USA culture: same language, same roots.I asked some guys and girls from your country, friends who have been living in Spain for years, and they agree.In any case, it would be cheaper than migrating to the USA by orders of magnitude,even more if you are planing to continue studying.That said, possibly it's the worst time for a family to go over seas. Our economy is still struggling to deal with the pandemic effects, and will be for years this way. A lot of people lost their jobs during the last year, our tourism based economy suffered a lot...The Once, national organization for the blind, could help you with some jobs, mainly selling lotery coupons, but take in mind that is not a well paid job, and you'd need to obtain the nationality first, or certain degree of legal status.If you are blind, the cost of your education would be close to 0, but you'll need to have enough money to live here, and of course the same for your family.So, my recomendation is: if you can, wait for a couple of years before moving anywhere the USA or Spain. In any case, the same concept works for hearing your own voice, touching your own face or whatever. Back to the mirror, I think the point is that you can understand that something external is representing you, as if you listen yourself through headphones while you talk to a microphone, you would know it's your own voice even if you never heard your voice before, just because you are aware of your own actions, then you know exactly what are you saying.-ABOUT the so called identity, as a male, female, transgender, etc, perhaps my personal opinion is weird because I am blind since I was 4 years old, but I believe it's a useless social aspect. Am I a male? Yes, I am supposed to be one. I definitely prefer girls, but I never wake up in the morning and think: oh, yes! I am a man! I play a lot of diferent roles in my life: I am a son, a friend, a lover, a musizian, a colleague, whatever, but, a man? Hey, visualstudio and others:As far as I know, both mt4 and mt5 arenn't accessible on windows, at least not enough to let you have a good experience. I haven't used them on pc for years, but I supose there are no changes.A quick note: I just remembered that robinhood is suposed to have some kind of accessible charts, however, it's not available in my country, so I have no real experience.About social trading, never used a platform like that with success. Etoro, as an example, was difficult to use, and, well, we are dealing with real money, so I cannot use a platform where I am sure what I am doing.Hor learning, all depens on your needs. There is a lot of courses and articles out there. It's hard to say where to start. Are you interested on intraday trading? Forex, stocks, fsd, indexes? What's your stile: scalping? Just take your time to learn, and try to make sure you know why are you opening each position. In the most cases, you'll start loosing money, learn from each loose.I think some trading apps would be accessible on android, or at least I hope so. Plus500, mt4 or mt5 and robinhood could be accessible, try them and tell us how them works Last but not least, be carefull with leberaging. It lets you operate like you have much more money, but when you loose, you loose accordingly, so you'll be runing out of money in no time. Then some tips, open demo accounts and practice:You can add indicators to your chart, some of them, once added, show a value that can be useful -I think it's not the place to discuss how to use technical indicators.As a blind trader, it's even more important to set stop lost and take profit, just in case something goes wrong or, well, goes very well but before you could react it comes back.Use fundamental analisis, read news, analisis, etc from trusted sources, they can help understanding what will happen and how.Look information about your local time scheme for trading. It varies from country to country, and some hours are much better, while others are like minefield: too much volatility, or no movement at all.Finally a quick suggestion, try always to follow the trend. It's harder for blind traders to deal with 4 or 5 indicators at the same time, understanding when they interact and what to do, so as a first general strategy, try to know where the trend is going, up or down, and open your position towards this direction. Don't try to anticipate this amazing moment where trend is gonna change to make a lot of money all of a sudden, in most cases you'll loose. Import an audio file to a track, or record anything.2. Show the volume envelope for that track pressing control plus alt plus v.3. Arm the envelope by pressing control plus l.4. Navigate to bar 2, press alt plus shift plus e to insert an envelope point, and accept the dialog that shows.5. Navigate to bar 3, press again alt plus shift plus e, but this time set the value on the dialog to -100, negative value.Play the your project from the beggining and you will hear the sound fading out from bar 2 to bar 3.Same concept applies for paning.Hope it helps. On the first track, press alt plus enter till you turn it into a folder.3. On the third track, repeat the process setting it as end of folder.4. Finally, apply all fx and automations to the first track, and you are done.You can get the same results creating a track and setting sends to this track from any other track, or changing the mixing behavior for the items, but those methods hhave their own advantages and disadvantages, possibly requiring more advanced expertice in Reaper.Hope it helps and excuse my english. A possible method: record anything, select the recorded item, press ctrl plus shift plus k, and check if your item peaks hit 0db. If it is the case, turn the gain volume of your mick down and try again. If you cannot turn it down at all, your only option is repositioning your mick. Depending on the soudñd source you are trying to record, you should adjust the distance from the mick to compensate the undesired extra volume. You could use reaper on the mac with some limitations, but as you mentioned, windows is a much more common option.No experiences with logic pro, but garage band, till useable, it's time consuming and less efficient in all areas. Editing, copying and pasting audio is frustrating, loading and working with vst fx is a mess, getting information about parameters, volumes, sends and receives, etc is really hard, and for every task you need to deal with a lot of controls, interact with them, plus garage band cannot be customised, while in Reaper you can use a pletora of shortkeys or create your own, or simply press f4 and search for any command you are looking for.I started producing with garage band some years ago, and switching to reaper is the best decision I could ever take. One week after switching I was able to do in an hour what took a day in garage band.Hope this helps and excuse my english. It is the case for JAWS, but it is the case for NVDA and Voiceover too (fanboys, don't kill me, let me explain).Nvda, for example, has been started from nothing, so, during its first years, it has been trying to be as useful as its competitors (in its early releases it was a kind of Narrator plus). Now it's a great option, but in fact NVDA is just starting to improve brand new features. Ok, ok, object navegator is new, but in my opinion it's another way to do what jaws has been doing with its 13889 different cursors. More productive, better or worse, but it's intended to attack the same thing.Voiceover felt refreshing in its early stages because its use of the gestures (both in mac and ios devices) was something we all had been waiting for a long time, but Apple is not updating it with a lot of new features, in part cause if someting wor ks, let it be...In 2014, you can do more or less the same things with nvda, jaws or Voiceover, the main differences are how to do that, and I think each screen reader has to improve this "how to". A whole revision of jaws could simplify its 3722 cursors, some of its impossible keystrokes and make it faster and lighter; nvda has to simplify a bit its object navegator (using it on a laptop is not the best experience at all), and Voiceover needs a new keyboard layout (don't you feel constantly as you haven't enought fingers to deal with voiceover, specially in your mac?).My opinion is that all most used screen readers can do the same, but they aren't optimized. For each new release, developers add a little thing to mantain the hipe without looking at the entire product experience. There isn't much more they can add but a better way to do what we all are doing in our everyday lifes (obviously, compatibility with new software releases is a good reason for updating, but I'm not considering it like a new feature).Finally, I partly agree... jaws offers more productivity in some areas like working with Visual Studio or advanced text processing, it's objectively true. I use jaws at work, NVDA at home and VoiceOver on my phone and on the Mac (musical composition etc), and in my experience, many people do so, cause each screen reader has its own weaknesses.
