Has anyone used JDownloader? Hi guys,I have fell in love with this software. I know that people say that download accelerators have no use anymore. I don't think so. I do not use such program to accelerate downloads and to magically improve speeds. I use them to very well manage my download as well as make them easier. I love JDownloader, very great software but the operation is not very convenient, since this is a Java program. If you plan to test it, watch out because it tries to install opera and avast. Not good, not good.BTW I heard that Avast improved. How did my Chinese adventure began? Well, I think that this is more suitable for a personal blog post rather than a public forum topic, yet I see people sharing their feelings, problems and opinions here, so I also do it. I want to explain one of the most visible sides of myself to you, so you can understand me better? So you can have something to read? I don't know why I do it, yet I hope this will be somewhat useful to all of you.Let’s start from the beginning though: I was raised very much anti-Chinese, anti-asian even. People in my family were telling me for instance that Chinese make their children slaves, that they make them work 20 hours a day and that if I were in China I would be killed because of my blindness. I was also taught that Japanese people are childish, irresponsible, that this is a cruel nation, ETC. You can imagine what I was told about Korea. At the beginning I didn’t care about it much, since China, Japan, Korea were so far away that I could not even grasp these and they all seemed like distant fairytales to me!But years have passed and I started attending a boarding school. Here we watched TV and I remember one particular program about Chinese tennis players. The girls who weren’t studying, but working on their sports career all days were shown. Same has been told on our geography lessons, and since I was a rather brave child I asked one of my teacher “If China is so evil, why USA will not destroy them with the atomic bomb”? I asked her because I trusted her, and so she started explaining that in every country there are good people, and bad people. She was the wisest person I knew at that time so I have asked her a lot of questions about China, their culture, language, she even shown me how these people eat with chopsticks. Of course, I did not have any political feelings at that time, and I found my favorite teacher’s tales interesting to listen, but I did not pay much attention to them.Many years later, because somewhere in 2015, our Chinese friend Tuohai posted about “The Return Of The King”, a Chinese multiplayer RPG game. I have seen both my brother and my visually impaired roommates play WoW and other MMORPGs, so I was thrilled to hear that! It was so hard for me to download this game, because at first it was posted on Pan Baidu, and since I wanted o play it so badly I started researching. Then I learnt about a system known as The Great Firewall. Since it seemed interesting I started researching it further and so I started learning about the history of China, their war with Japanese, conflicts with the US and many stories which started shaping my view. Then I have got the game and with the help of a translation services I started to communicate with its players. These people were so thrilled by the fact, that I am not from China that some of them even said that I am trolling them! I found it very sad because when I was meeting people online, it wasn’t of much surprise that they are from another country, from another continent even. I started chatting privately with one of the players, and he has introduced me to QQ, an IM software used very widely in China. I have found the English version of the program somewhere and I have registered on there. First of all, I just joined the game’s QQ group to download updates and listen to recordings, but I was chatting with more and more people. Later on I discovered Tingyouwang – a Chinese audiogames forum. I have realized that these people are very wise and most of all kind to me, even though I am different even though I struggle to communicate with them because I have to use a translation service!If I hadt o describe all stories which happened to me over the years it would be much longer than I would want it to be, so I will just say that I have met many great Chinese people who have taught me and are still teaching me a whole lot. Why I have such pro-chinese views now? Why I am sometimes paranoid in it? Because I realize that people were lying to me, that they were telling me that a whole fucking group of people are beasts! Zhengdu Screenreader Open Class taking part on the 12TH of February Hello everyone!We sincerely invite you to take part in the Zhengdu Screenreader Open Class project, which aims to teach people of all computer levels to use the software well as well as to promote the program arround the world.We kindly ask all of you to invite all your interested friends, family members and other people who might benefit from our mission.Our current schedule includes- Using monitors in ZDSR- using Area Navigation- Utilizing the power of screen navigation- Learning how to use landmarks- ZDSR and Word: Quick introduction- ZDSR and Powerpoint, both creating and reading presentationsOf course, since this is an open class, you are kindly welcome to ask questions and propose changes to the schedule.
