Re: A Question Regarding USB Headsets Outputting in Mono

Wow yes, the only options I have are telephone, tape recorder, fm radio, cd and dvd quality. They are all 16-bit. I don't know if that might relate to stereo compatibility or not. Sadly there was no other option that had to do with channels.

Re: A Question Regarding USB Headsets Outputting in Mono

Hurray for requesting refunds and generally making noise. Except I don't really know which of the two things I got is causing the problem.I've messed around in the mmsys.cpl thing and I couldn't find anything related to one channel under advanced or any other section for that matter wich probably means I didn't look closely enough or didn't look in the right place? Who knows.

A Question Regarding USB Headsets Outputting in Mono

A Question Regarding USB Headsets Outputting in Mono

Greetings everyone,As the subject suggests, I've got a question for the audio engineers/sound experts/microphone and headset geeks of the community. So it's like this; Recently I obtained this sennheiser stereo headset (I can't remember what the exact model name is but if it's needed I should be able to research it). There was a problem with it, though, in the sense that it did not offer support for usb connectivity, which it claimed to on the product page where I got it. But either way, long story short, I was told to get this sennheiser disconnect ed02 cable I believe it was called. This thing came in today and it connects fine to my headset and computer through a usb port. However, the catch is that everything that comes out of there is in mono. I don't know if that was to be expected or not. I've looked around in my sound settings and the headset is selected as the output device. The only thing that I was seemingly able to change about it was the spacial sound format, whatever that means, but that did absolutely nothing. I've also checked under where mono audio can be turned on but it's off for the moment.I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, if anything. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

E-mail Clients for Windows

Hello,So my native windows 10 mail client has been recently getting so obnoxious I can barely use it. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a decent alternative. I have no idea if this has been answered before on the forum as I'm a relatively new member and too lazy to search. Either way, any recommendations would be very much appreciated. Thanks very much in advance.

@2 and @3, thanks for the help. Fortunately I do have FFmpeg already so we'll see if that works.

Creating Ringtones for iOS

2019-11-02 Thread AudioGames . net ForumOff-topic room : randomuser via Audiogames-reflector

Creating Ringtones for iOS

Hello,About a month ago, I happened to recieve a brand new iOS device as a gift from my parents. Of course, one of the first things I did after getting my hands on it was change practically every single option in the settings app. These adjustments included selecting the voices I prefer using with VoiceOver, setting a picture of my favourite band as the wallpaper, because why the heck not, as well as trying to find a ringtone that I somewhat liked. That's when I realised that, for some reason, none of those tones sounded good to me. I don't know if it's a total me thing or if it's because the majority of them are so overused, but either way I thought it would be cool to be able to make my own, somehow. Problem is, I'm really not sure how.Googling things like "creating your own ringtones for iOS" yeelded several interesting videos and articles with instructions on how to achieve this, but either I'm a total idiot or they weren't right, because whichever one I tried was no good. What I think I HAVE managed to understand so far is that they can't be more than 30 seconds long and they need to be in some audio format which I can never get right. So essentially what I'm looking for are some instructions on how to make a ringtone that can be used on a device running iOS13. I do own a windows 10 computer and have a very rudimentary knowledge of both audacity and iTunes, so hopefully that can come in handy. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
