You might want to find the developers of mandarin for eSpeak, but these will be completely separate from the NVDA devs. I also get annoyed at the mandarin support, but I still think it is better than it used to be and the numbers thing can be ignored most of the time. Since it is maintained by all of the people on the folder, it doesnt go down unless all of them do, and since it is stored locally, it cant be taken away from you. Re: my new language idea Actually, two things here.1. Yes, the SAPI engine is Unicode, but many of the things that send text to it are not. I know there was trouble getting non-Unicode text to work in BGT, and this could cause problems. By the way, Vietnamese, unlike most other Asian languages, already uses the Latin alphabet (a legacy from French occupation).2. The latinization of other languages is not a very feasible system. For example, there are three Arabic letters that are sort of similar to the letter H, but are distinct in Arabic. I would prefer making various technologies Unicode-based rather than trying to limit natural languages to obsolete restrictions from an earlier computer landscape.
