Does anybody know if this person has permission from the BK3 developer to do this? Regardless of whether BK3 is a commercial game or being given away, unless the developer has declared the games and it's resources to be freely usable by anyone, to be legal by copyright laws, the seller of the English translation file needs to have permission. Otherwise he is redistributing copyrighted work without permission, and isn't that called piracy? If what you are saying were true, you could duplicate and distribute a movie's soundtrack to your heart's content without fear and I do believe the movie studios would stomp on you pretty hard if you tried it.I don't know about BARD, but when you download a book from Book Share, regardless of the format you request, DAISY or MP3, the files are watermarked with your user ID so that if you share the files and they get back to them, they can figure out who is sharing their files and for starters, terminate their membership. I'm a big fan of Star Trek The Next Generation and would love to have audio described versions of all the episodes, but so far the only places I know of that has it is either British Sky Broadcasting or Blindy.TV, and they aren't sharing except via their broadcasts. Re: update to rules regarding copyright violations Agreed with Aprone, well said Bookerage, I'm just a bit conflicted in that while I'm opposed to piracy in all its forms, I do believe in what the movie vault is doing.I think I'd feel differently if there was an audio only version of Netflix specifically for the blind and visually impaired, or if we could buy just the audio described audio track from a movie at a reduced price. As things are now, we have to pay full price for the full movie even though we get no benefit from the video portion. There are already too many advertisements without having to find one after most messages.Besides that, even if it isn't used for advertising, after you've seen a person's signature a couple of times, constantly seeing it after every one of their messages just gets annoying. So now one of the first things I do after registering on a new forum is to go into settings and turn off displaying signatures and avatars, and if the forum doesn't offer the ability to turn them off, I leave and never return. While the moderators and I still had to deal with them, it did keep their trash off the forums.I discovered that I had to make one tiny little change to the forum software which the vendor started including in their official releases. That was to only count approved or visible messeges in the user's count of posted messeges. Otherwise a spam bot could defeat us by posting more than five messeges. I'd love a site specific _javascript_ disabler, something like that could be set up to use the noscript part of the page and might make inaccessible or difficult to access pages a lot more accessible. Unfortunately, something like that would have to be written as a browser add on which means every page you look at is going to have to be processed by at least a small part of the add on which would just slow things down.While a single add on like this might not produce a noticeable slow down, after you add it, an ad blocker, and a few other add ons you want and you start significantly adding to the code that has to process each page you look at and it begins to add up. I just use the MVPS hosts file from MVPS.org, and I get no ads, and the nice thing about it is that it works with all browsers because it blocks the ads at the TCP/IIP protocol driver. No additional software to slow down your browser is needed, assuming the software even supports your choice of browser in the first place. It simply uses a feature that's been built into the protocol driver since Windows 95 and probably earlier. Suggestion for a new genre for the database I would like to see a "Rogue like" genre added to the database. Games like Entombed and Inquisitor's Heartbeat are currently listed in the RPG genre along with all the other RPG games but they really should be listed as Rogue like games. At first I was disappointed, but after a short while, I grew to like it and now turn off displaying signatures in all the forums I frequent. Some people can be a bit long winded in their signatures.I also turn off displaying in message images and avatars since I can't see either of them.In the end I end up with a much less cluttered display of the forum.
