Must be my computer then. I did have an ishue were the emulator would crash when run under windows 8 for long times, and on vista it just runs extremely slow even after I have changed settings.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169789#p169789

Re: A good working PS2 emulator?

Agreed with Assault freak. I was actually able to run a game using the PCSX2 emulator right out of the box, as it were. No modifications whatsoever. On the other hand, my computer has a quad core 2.3 GHZ processor and 16 gigs of ram, so it's a pretty powerful computer. All that to say, you need a system with high specs to run PCSX2 perfectly. Failing that, be prepared to be messing with the various graphics and CPU config settings quite a bit.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169781#p169781

And to anyone who already has a ps2 and just wants to try games... my advice is get the ps2 modded, or buy a copy of swap magic. I won't go into details... but it allows to play discs without paying for them first. That's all I'll say about it.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169709#p169709

Re: A good working PS2 emulator?

Danny, actually there are a lot of people who've been able to run the emulator and games smoothly. Your computer just has to have a lot of power. It can be done, just depends on how much video memory and ram your computer can handle processing.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169690#p169690

Re: A good working PS2 emulator?

Saddly not, since these games are at least a gig if not more in size. If this is something you really want to do, payshants is a requirement as their is really no way to get the emulator to run smoothly on all games. Pcsx 2 itself can be found via google, its the bios files that are gonna be a bit of a problem.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169680#p169680

as for me I have a ps2, but the game that I want is not available in any of the ps stores in my country anymore, like space channel 5 boath part 1, 2, and special edition, viewtiful joe 1 and 2, the mlb games, etc.So the only option that I have is to play it on a ps2 emulator. And I'll try to configure the emulator that can make games runs smoothly.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169608#p169608

Re: A good working PS2 emulator?

If you can at all possible I would advize getting a ps 2 if you can find one, since their's really not an optamol configuration for most games, and hents I would only use it if I want to see what a game is like. If your really intrested in playing the game from start to finish though, unless your up for a lot of fustrations its better to get a ps 2.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169530#p169530

Re: A good working PS2 emulator?

It will lag no matter what you change, such is the way of ps 2 emulators. My only idea is to change the renderer in the pluggin settings dialog to direct 3d 10 null or direct 3d 9 null. It stops the game from displaying grafics and speeds up gameplay, but if your planning on actualy trying to full on play the game with sited assistants along the way, good luck.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169507#p169507

edit your graphics settings. You can enable speed hacks. But I find that they stop certain games from working. I am wondering, because my sound is fast but the gameplay is slow.myself as well. Just a bit of advice is you may need to tinker with the settings a lot to get some games to work on pcsx 2. If you need to do that, a lot of payshants helps and a lot of google searching.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=169414#p169414
