Its like Dungeons  Dragons second edition, where a peasant would hit a level 20 character exactly 5% of the time -- when rolling 20 -- and would then always do critical damage. Thats just weird and counterintuitive. You can solve that the way it was solved in third edition -- have the attacker make a second attack roll, and only deal critical damage when both are hits -- but I feel that that is too complicated.So, while I can certainly see the logic of your idea, I think there are some arguments against adopting it.Is there a way to create items or monsters for the dungeon? Could such a construction be created? I do keep running into new items, but it would be fun to add some personal touches into my games.Well, you can create items or monsters by downloading the source code and programming them! :-) There would be really no way to make an easy and powerful item/monster creator in the game itself except by basically reimplementing the Inform 7 programming language in the game itself. That would be a waste of everyones efforts. If youd like to try your hand at creating some stuff, let me know. Dark, did you try those two test files I linked to in my last post? Hyperlinks do work in Windows Glulxe and Windows Git, but they might be an unwanted distraction. Text is read, and its only read once.One oddity, NVDAs virtual object navigation in laptop mode is affecdted, as the author of the addin seems to have hijacked some of those keystrokes. Ill have another try though,As to the numerical menu that is awsome, indeed I recommended the developer of Eamon deluxe use something similar, so no trouble with access there.  inse in Winglulx Im reading with a virtual curser and its easy enough to check when needed.The thing I would like, partly for access but mostly for laziness is a txt or other readable file copy of the games in game help, particularly the awards section, sinse having to first look up the number and then hit enter and then read the text then look up another number etc is not the most efficient way when you want to just skim something with a screen reader. This isnt an issue with the menus so much as a general thing with screen readers and skim reading, indeed some developers of accessible games give a standard windows help system menu and a txt copy for that reason, just because if you want to read the hole thing as opposed to look stuff up its far easier to do it continuously. of course if the help files are all deep in the code its not a big deal at all, its just me being lazy . Well I personally like winglulx, sinse it cuts screen clutter and even has a sapi output mode, although until they fix the speech interupt issues Sapi is a bit annoying to use and its easier just to user Supernovas virtual curser. Im not sure on Gargoil sinse its not an interpreter Ive tried, but if hyperlinks would work in Winglulx that would be handy, sinse as I emulate mouse clicks with the virtual curser itd make navigating menus that bit easier, indeed there are some games which are accessible entirely by use of this method.Regarding I frotz, while I own a bluetooth keyboard for my Iphone, I dont tend to carry it around so havent tried if on the Iphone yet. Now, on to my general audiogaming thoughts which you could read if youd like.The last two days have impressed me while browsing the net. Time of Conflict got an update, and now this. This is it. This has just proven to me that this year is not going to be about many releases at once, but I think every release we see in the audiogaming scene is going to bring something either a: different, or b: be very extensive. I am confused. Im running Win 7/64 with NVDA 2014.1. I downloaded the windows installer and ran it apparently successfully. However, if I run kerkerkruip Im getting a blank screen with your name as the title but I am unable to interact at all with it. Did I misunderstand and think that the interpreter was included in the install? Visually the old one is completely hidden, but I guess NVDA is getting confused.I have NVDA installed but when I run Windows Git it doesnt read anything out, so I guess I need to install the Interpreter add on you mentioned.
