Puppet nightmares Updates worth checking out

Hi all,I'm just getting back into this again and figured I'd update the community as to what is going on content wise and accessibility wise.1. The story apparently had a restructure. The last time I was on PN I was at the last step to completing episode one, just had to go to Mesara and talk to her to see the epilogue, which I did. However, in the drop down to select an episode after selecting difficulty, it only had ep1 in there. I was like, huh?So, I asked and the admin said that old accounts have to revisit episode 1 again because they changed a lot of it, and the changes are good I must say. There are quests introducing you to eggs, skills, etc which previously were not available. The advantage to this change is that one, you get a refresher, and two, all of your creatures remain the same so you can just blast through the early dungeons without even trying.2. Episode 5 is ongoing, so that's some good future news. Also, you
can tell that the episode was restructured because there is a labeled, descriptive comment for the episode 1 intro now, where there used to be text. I personally prefer the text option because we know more of what's going on, but the comic has seficiant alt tags.I also recommend support status because the battle hotkeys are a godsend, but that's just me.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172606#p172606

Re: Puppet nightmares Updates worth checking out

Interesting. I confess I played through a lot of puppet nightmares and last I checked was mid ways through episode 4. There were lots of pretty awsome systems and tactics in the game from the adventure system to highering mercinaries. Also for a game with limited donation monthly items puppet nightmares was very good about  giving people chances to find limited edition soul puppets from previous months, indeed I had several. The reason I sort of stopped was that comapred to the huge amount of tactics necessary for a lot of the game, the amount of text and atmosphere was a bit low on a long period. Battles for example just says "puppet x uses skill on puppet y"  or "attacks for x damage" without any atmospheric description. Similarly only very few parts of the game told you about what sort of environment you were in. This likely was not an issue for sighted players who could see the art work, but I just found myself wanting more in
formation on say what the desert of misery or the dead man's colon looked like, especially for the relative amount of complexity I had to go through in the game. I might well go back and give things another try at some point, sinse it is probably the best battle system I've seen in a brower game I just wish there was a little more by way of atmospheric text, but unfortunately last time I asked the gm said he considdered such writing to be a blind only thing, and while he was happy to add alt tags etc, he wasn't making a specifically vi gam, obviously he's not heard of interactive fiction muds or gamebooks. Still as a basic tactical game there was a great deal to recommend it.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=172632#p172632
