Re: Sennheiser headsets?

Hi.Yeah true, but I wanna hear the headset before i buy. I got a chance to hear Boses noise reduction headphones yesterday, and I don't like the way the noise reduction works. For me, it feels like you are def and you just sit in yur own world, totally unable to hear what's going on around yu. Yes I know that's the point of noise reduction, but it sounds like they remove all lower tones, which doesn't make me feel well wwhen wearing those. I have some problems with my ears which I can't fidn the right words to describe at the moment, but when I'm getting a cold, I begin to loose my hearing so it's very dangerous for me to walk in the traphic because I can't hear well. The same when sitting in a airplain. Sorry,, just can't find the correct words but I'm sure you know what I mean. I get like the same feeling in my ears when
turning on the noise reduction on the Bose headphones, which I don't like. The sound quallity is really great though.Later today, i'll go to an awesome shop nearby and take a look at the more expensive headsets. I'll let you know the results of this visit. Re: Sennheiser headsets?

SLJ,I recently got a pair of Sennheiser mm 70i, which I plan to use with my iPhone. Sennheiser has a good range of headsets. But if you have some €€€ or $$$ to spend I recommend you the Shure SE products. Their headphones come with replaceable parts, making them much more durable, but more expensive too. You can visit the shure web page and check their in-ear headphones.http://www.shure.comURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=161146#p161146

Re: Sennheiser headsets?

First of all, I suggest trying headset out before buying. I believe this has already been said. LOL. I had mine headset sence september and so far it sounds good. The only thing I wish I did was to try before buying. If I had, I might have had founds something better. The Sennheiser HD 380 Pro is is one of those over the ear kind. They do block out alot of sound, but not all of the sound. I will put it this way. When ever someone says something to me, I can hear them speaking, but not understand them. A family member of mind has a bose radio  and I found that music played over that radio is more basey then what come over my headset. Of course when they play the music over their bose, they playing it threw the build in speakors. If I played the music over this headset or the bose radio, I get a sound that is per say fuller then any cheep headset  and or speakor I have heard. I also found that I like listening to the guy who reads harry potter over here in the US alot bett
er over my headset then the bose radio. It doesn't have as much base that way. If bose builds their headsets to the same standors as they do their radio, I would have to make a guess that the sound is pretty close. As far as I know, the over the ear headohones are teh closed type and they will do ok if they are design well. From what I have read, the headset I'm using, blocks out around 40 DB of sound. I don't know how true that is, but I know for sure that it blocks enough for me to have my music at a reasonable level. I am also thankful that I don't have to turn things up so lound that others hear it. LOL. Anyway, these headsets do fould up and go in a carrying case. Also, the cable is detachable. I can't tell you how many of the cheep headsets I went threw because of the cable. These are not the best for travel. when I got these, I made the choice to balance money against sound. Of course I was thinking about travel too, but that sort of came out in third
place for me. Who knows what I would had picked if I went and tried before buying. These are a bit on the big side, and the cable is a bit long. If you looking for a good website to look at what others are saying about headsets, then you could try head-fi.org. I'm lucky that I ran into someone in the dorm that I stay in that listens to the kind of stuff I do. I think after I get out of colladg, and when I have some money to spend, I might try to get some kind of sound system or something to feed these headsets better audio. I guess I better post this before my mind does any more wondering...URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=161138#p161138

Re: Sennheiser headsets?

I haven't tried any noise cancelation headsets, but if you really wanna like sit in your own world enjoying what you're listening to without getting disturbed by other sounds around you, noise cancelation is the way to go. I can only recommend you to go in a shop and try it for yourself before you buy. I hope I'll get a chance to check it all out at friday.URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=161075#p161075

Re: Sennheiser headsets?

hi,another question that I want to ask about this subjectdo I really need noise cancelation or is the closed type of headphone enough to block out ambient noiseI use my headphones to listen to audiobooks and such, and they are open back. which means I have to crank up the volume in noisey placesURL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=161002#p161002

Re: Sennheiser headsets?

Hi all.Bringing this old topic back from the dead, I wanna ask you about yur experiences, because my lovely in-ear Bose headset is nearly broken because the cable which sticks in the left earbot is nearly ripped off!Let me start by saying that I don't have a lot of experiences with high quallity headsets, but Bose in-ear headsets are the best in-ear headsets I ever have heard. The sound is fantastic!I have used this headset non stop for everything for at leased 3 years, and I can only recommend those, accept for the cable will brake if you're not very careful when traveling.I travel a lot and I'm also sitting a lot in front of my computer, working, or listening to something. At home, I'm a speaker user, but when playing games, talking on Skype or just when I feel like doing it, I'm using a headset. So,I've done a lot of research, and figured out that both Bose, Sennheiser, denon and B&W have made some awesome on-ear or ov
er-ear headsets, made for traveling. You can fold the headphones and put them in a careingcase, and you can also disconnect the cable from the headset, so it doesn't break, like mine did on my lovely headset.Out from what I've red, the B&W headsets sounds like the best headsets, but they are also expensive. I'm willing to invest a lot of money on a great headset, and the B&W offers two different cables, one for traveling and one for home use to give you even better sound.Denon have an iPhone app with an e q  and other features, but I haven't checked if this is accessible. Some of the headsets do both have Bluetooth and cable which would be nice, but cable is a must have for me, when using it both with my phone, computer and other things. If you have any experiences since this topic was opened lastly, I would like to hear from you. The Audio technica headsets, well, it doesn't seems as those can be found here. I have a nice
store nearby where I can try all those headsets which I've mentioned, which I can't wait to try. URL: http://forum.audiogames.net/viewtopic.php?pid=160824#p160824

Re: Sennheiser headsets?

Yall wanted me to keep yall up to date when I got a headset. I got the Sennheiser HD 380 Pro headset. Sounds fine with most everything I send threw them. OK, jaws don't sound all that great threw them, but most if not everything on my IPod sounds good on these. Although, I wish I could have tried before buying. Anyway, I did alot of asking around and internet searching before buying these. these do feel like I can wear them for longs stretches of time and be ok. Ad to that, they are for shure not to base heavy. They could use some improvements, but they will be ok for my uses, or at least for most of them. LOL.
