A bit of pain to find Tb map packs nowadays. Hello,Now as the website is down, there's no place with all the packs anymore, and direct download in Tb itself doesn't work with some of them. Would anyone be wiling to point out if there's still archieve of all that anywhere, or if there are new maps or updates to old maps uploaded individually? I would love any, and possibly every of them. Thank you. Allan Thompson just posted a new map pack today.Here is his email message:This is a great new version of my first attempt trying to recreate thedungeon fantasy board game by TSR/WOTC.This map pack features:Six different heros, male and female, to choose from.There is the dwarf, high elf, paladin, rogue, warrior and wizard.Each has a strength and weakness making them versatile yet not overpowered.The monsters are varied and split into six levels of difficulty.They are also random. Each time you play the same map you will get differentmonsters.There is treasure, both glittery stuff and some great magic items thatinclude potions, scrolls, weapons, armor and wondrous items like mysticalbelts, gauntlets, gloves, boots and specialized items.The treasure itself is also completely random. Open a treasure chest and youcould get something different each time. It even has a user guide (Gasp! Al made a user guide? Did hell just freezeover?) so hopefully it is able to give you a good idea of what is going on.Oh, there is some magic, and wizards get to summon cat familiars! These canbe used for scouting and as a component in a spell. In fact if you want to be able to play the Demon wars map properly, you pretty much have to do this anyway Else scripts get messed up and things break spectacularly . . . I loaded the latest dev version of TB and went to play a map pack, but... the list was empty. I had to download a map pack through the game such as tower defense to get that list populated. Since War for Earth was in that downloadable list, I got that too. Re: A bit of pain to find Tb map packs nowadays. @MikeFont, you probably created an extra sub folder.For instance, in the Data for TB\Map Packs folder you should have a War for earth folder.And within that you should find a map pack settings.txt file and folders like units, items, skills, etc.If instead you find another War for earth folder, this is why the game can't find the files it needs.Look at the folder structure of a map pack that does work in the game, then compare it with the map packs you unzipped manually to see the difference.Saves are stored in the Data for TB\Saved games folder.To back them up, just copy them elsewhere.Unfortunately save games are not guaranteed to work between game versions, and often don't. Can't believe I didn't catch that. lolI'm curious, can anyone answer for me how on Allen's Dungeon map pack just how to do a search, then if I find the secret door, with only one action use the secret door option?I've already burned the one action performing the search. As soon as the turn is over to get more action points, the secret door option is removed from the menu, but it seems the secret door remains in that room.
