Re: Accessible FTP client for Mac
Re: Accessible FTP client for Mac If you don't mind paying for a client, you could also check out Transmit. It supports ftp and a bunch of other services, such as Amazon S3, Dropbox, WebDav, etc. It is one of the best on Mac and iOS. Re: Accessible FTP client for Mac
Re: Accessible FTP client for Mac If you don't mind using the terminal, you can use the default command line ftp client. You can do a google search as to what commands you might need. I think sftp also works for when you want to connect to a secure ftp server. Just type ftp in terminal, and open to open a connection. Again, you can look up commands online. Re: Accessible FTP client for Mac
Re: Accessible FTP client for Mac Last I checked, Cyberduck was reasonably accessible with VoiceOver. Accessible FTP client for Mac
Accessible FTP client for Mac Sorry if this has already been discussed. What is the best FTP client to use on MacOS? Re: Accessible FTP Client for Mac?
Re: Accessible FTP Client for Mac? There's another one called Cyberduck. However, it appears this is now shareware and costs $23. I remember using it for free in 2014. I'm not sure if that was just a demo or if they changed to a commercial product.I'm not sure of any other GUI applications you can use. I know the Finder supports connecting to FTP servers. However, you connect in read-only mode. It should also be possible to use Terminal if you want to use the command line.editI found a version of File Zilla for macOS. You can download it from https://download.filezilla-project.org/ … undled.zipI'd suggest not installing the extra bundled crap it comes with. It seems like it works with VoiceOver. I don't know of any FTP servers to connect to off the top of my head, so can't test if the interface for browsing files is accessible. Re: Accessible FTP Client for Mac?
Re: Accessible FTP Client for Mac? I've heard good things about Transmit. Be aware you have to pay for it. You can get a fully functional 7 day demo to test it out. I'm going to do just that and see if it's worth the $45 asking price. I haven't personally tried it so can't give specific comments.
