Re: Any suggestions for accessible Karaoke software for PC?

the CDG files are instrumentals, plus they have the lyrics for sighted people.   to use.  If I wasn't too worried about that, I'd just look up instrumental files on youtube or something, but I need something 'cause I have like a  100,000 song set list of karaoke tracks and I got a wedding coming up in May, that they want me to do some karaoke after my band is done playing, I'm not the one singing, everyone's taking turns singing, lol.  I'm done performing for the night after the band, lol

Re: Any suggestions for accessible Karaoke software for PC?

so gotta askwhy cdg files, and not wav or mp3?i ask this question because, there's karaoke versions of songs on internet too. searching can bring a ton of results for the song you choose. and i think there's some websites that are still working that i will not mention here, but i think that those can be downoaded from a normal websiteunless you are extremely critical like me, and choose cgd files because tey are'nt insstrumental version made by using fl studio, and are the original song with the backing vocals.unless those cgd files have liryx on them. i woder how to put text on images (like liryx) but whatever. if cgd files have the liryx, you aare good to go...sadly i dont know any solution to an accesible karaoke software for the blindunless you go to the solution of writing in paper (sighted writing) if you know how to write this way. then put those in the stand were your speakers are. this will be easy to read if you've practiced writing enough.also for the blind participants, well, if you can, write in a braille machine the liryx if they dont know the liryx for the song (if the ca sinchronise to the song)or go to the solution of making them listen the song of their choosing 5 times or something, or read a digitalised version of the braille text.if they can memorice liryx of songs well and they heard the song many times already, you dont need to make them listen it again or read the liryxor, buy a karaoke machine if you have the money for it. they cost around 20$ to 100$ i think.sadly i dont know any accesible karaoke machine, but good luck finding a totally accesible karaoke software

Re: Any suggestions for accessible Karaoke software for PC?

Karaoke software can play a specific media type that is used for karaoke machines.  it's a CDG based file system,  similar, but not so similar to a video file.

Re: Any suggestions for accessible Karaoke software for PC?

I've heard of karaoke machines, but I never understood how they worked. I've seen a Singing Machine once at a pawn shop that was popular with the older iPhones with the standard pins, back when we had docking stations. You would mount your iDevice on top of the machine and sing into a microphone. Now, I use a mixer, microphone, and speakers to do the karaoke, and it works!

Re: Any suggestions for accessible Karaoke software for PC?

i have a questionwhat's the diference of a karaoke program, to an audio editor, a media player, or a DAW?they almost do the same things i think... let me know if there's any diference on all those.if you are those that know braille and read fluently, i suggest you to hear the normal version of the song (if you have good hear to memorice the liryx of the song) or search in the internet for the liryx of that song if you cant memorice the entire liryx of the song. hear 5times the song or more until you can memorice well the liryxthen write down on paper the liryx of the song (if you are low vision using a pencil and a paper is okay)if you are those that use the computer and dont use braille, write in a text editor such as the one that comes on windows, (it's called notepad.exe in the windows folder) dont confuse with the one that you can use to program in diferent programing languagesopen the text editor and write from memory the liryx of the song (or search it from internet if you cant memorice well the liryx and paste it)if you dont have a karaoke version of the song, search it on iternett or something, there's still some youtube downloaders out there that use proxy for vipassing the blocking of those types of websites, i dont know if a program that can download from youtube such as pontes media downloader can do this thoughopen it in your preferred media player of your choice (i'm talkig of the karaoke version) if you have the liryx memoriced, you'll be good to go.if you dot want people to hear your screen reader, see if you have headfones, and if the speaker you use appears in the list of devices (control panel sounds devices) see if the headfones are in the list, and see if the speakers that you will use are in the list.press escape if they are on the list.if you have those short of headfones that dont appear on the list, see if your speaker you use appears o the list. if it does'nt appear, i think you are stuck, and you will have to use your screen reader and everyone will hear itif the two appear, you are good to go.press (NVDA control s if you have NVDA)go to the output devices comboboxselect (the headfones) and press enter.those are the only alternatives that i can give. see what alternative suits to you

Any suggestions for accessible Karaoke software for PC?

Hey I'm looking for some accessible software that can do karaoke.  Mainly just looking for something that will let me operate the software, not so much read the lyrics or anything.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I'm asking about it on PC because I have to do Karaoke for a wedding and a phone just isn't gonna cut it.
