Nintendo are famously takedown happy when it comes to free fan made games, AM2R and Pokemon Uranium. While it's true you can't copyright ideas. You can copyright specific parts of a game, the Sims concept itself isn't copyrightable, but the Sim creator, that most certainly is. The sounds are, even things like the pointer used, or the way the screen blurs out to censor things are copyrighted.. It's a common myth that if you aren't making money it's not infringing. I am great at finding bugs, mking suggestions, great at sound design, and have been wanting a game like this for years. I mean it's being 32-bit only didn't help, but loading the entire world at once was a large part of the reason that game was, is, and (for as long as systems will still support it) always will be a freaking resource hog. EA at least learned that much with TS4, if nothing else. Although they still apparently haven't gotten the memo re: 64-bit just yet... A few things though.In most menus, it says you can move in them with either the arrow keys or w and s. But is that also true for the main menu?When generating your sim, choosing their height and weight shouldn't require you to scroll through an absolutely huge list of options. It would be far easier if you told the player what the min and max height/weight is, and then had them enter a value between that in the text field.
