Re: What Can You do With These Drums

Hey guys. I was thinking of possibly making these tracks available to download or maybe even purchase somewhere if yawl are down for that. Let me know if you're cool with that and I can try to put them up as an album or something.

Here's what I got.https://that-domain.com/media/remix.mp3I made it in logic pro, and I had a lot of fun doing it. It's not the best thing I've ever produced, but it was still cool to do. I had to split and loop a couple sections of the drum track to make it as long as I wanted, but other than that I left them untouched. I didn't bother mixing it hardly at all since I was just doing it for fun, so sorry if there's any particular dynamic that annoys you. If anybody would like to take a shot at fixing the audio though, I'll be happy to upload the project file. Enjoy!

What Can You do With These Drums

2021-01-20 Thread AudioGames . net Forum — Off-topic room : Dan_Gero via Audiogames-reflector

What Can You do With These Drums

Good evening. Here's a little backstory. I heard a weird, disjointed song from a friend on our Discord server that was made as a boredom/mess-around project. I decided that I wanted to make a mess-around project myself, because these days there's not a whole lot going on in everyday life so I had time to waste. Most of the instruments basically revolved around me hitting random keys on my keyboard to a beat, so most of it is weird and doesn't quite make sense, though maybe this song could be used in a quirky bonus level for a game or something. However, I decided it needed a half-decent drum beat to go along with it. I decided I was going to really flesh out this particular instrument, and it actually sounded a lot better than I expected. I'm not sure if it's the best drum sample ever, but I'm quite proud of it myself. In case you're curious, the drums I used came from Spitfire Audio's Labs, which is a free collection of presets created for you to use. I believe it's 5 gigs, but I'm not entirely sure anymore. Do note that if you want to use it, you'll need to download Native Access and the unofficial NKS ready plug-ins for Labs. I used to know where to get them; unfortunately I can't seem to find them anymore, and the one page that came up about it gave me a 404 when I tried to download the plug-ins. Because they're unofficial, Spitfire Audio doesn't host these themselves. If anyone does know where to obtain them, please do let me know and I will update this post with the appropriate links. Also keep in mind if you do use these plug-ins, I believe you have to have a Komplete Kontrol keyboard to access them accessibly, though I'm not quite certain. As for the drum beat itself, I slowed the entire track down to half tempo and used a combination of step recording and actually playing along, though I'll admit there was more midi editing than there was actual playing. Nevertheless, for something that was mostly edited in, it sounds pretty good to my ears. Now here comes the fun part. I've heard of these challenges people do online sometimes where they'll take a beat or guitar sample and play on top of it, or they'll splice up parts of it and remix it. An example of this very thing comes from the #AllINeedChallenge, or more specifically these 2 videos from Andre Louis and Matteo Mancuso, where people took a lyricless verse from Jacob Collier's All I need and performed over it in their own unique way. I am providing the weird song that I made, as well as the drums I recorded  for the track. The idea of this is to take the drum track and play over it with your desired instrument, though if you want, you can splice it up and remix it too. The track is 120 BPM. The drums usually start exactly 75% of the way through beat 2, but I rendered it so that you can just paste the audio track at the beginning of the measure with hopefully 0 syncing issues. I love watching things like this because it's really cool to see all the unique ways someone can go about performing/recording a song, and it's a great showcase of talent too. When you're done with the drum track, post your finished product here. If you wish, you can remix/perform over the full track, though I'm not sure why you'd want to. Go crazy!

Ask google to tell you a riddle. That's my favourite. Ask google to play a game and translate your stuff from language x to language zed.

What can you do when you ask Google to 'Sing Me a Song'

Hi there,I recently heard someone demonstrating this on Dabel, and it sounded as if they were making it sound like DecTalk. Then I think I heard that person say something about Ditty, and I vaguely recall that it was available as an Alexa skill. So, I downloaded Google Assistant onto my phone and told it to sing me a song. However, it only played really short clips of music. Is there some command one must input to make it do other things?I found this Google Help but couldn't find anything useful. If anyone knows more about this and how to make it do more things, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you!
