It is a ramdisk because if it wasn't one, you wouldn't be able to delete/change partitions on the disk. So you just need to delete recoveryHD from within recovery. You could then use disk utility to delete recovery. Deleting Mac OS X Recovery Partition Hello,How do I delete my Mac OS X Sierra recovery partition? I want the 600 or 700 MB of space available on my main drive. I don't need the recovery partition because I have a copy of the Sierra installer on an SD card. Any help would be appreciated.
