Re: Eurofly anyone? Because they don't use proper aviation / aeronautical procedures, instead relying on skip logic and numbers that don't even approximate real world conditions. Thus, if your speed is one knot over what they deem OK, you will fail with a crash, even though this wouldn't happen in the real world. Eurofly is really a game I need to try, since even though flight sims are less my thing, I like the idea of the atlas and being able to fly between different places in the real world, the game sounds wonderfully in depth with lots of things to do. Last time I installed it, it kept giving me errors and I couldn't get it to start properly, so I probably need to give it another try. Re: Eurofly anyone? @11 The thing is, if you want flight simulation, it's going to require a whole lot of studying to be done by you. I feel like people on here who haven't done it tend to treat it like a slightly more advanced game, but it's really not. I have payware aircraft where everything is simulated. You can even get the manuals for the radio stack and read them to learn how to use the thing. If you learn it in the sim, and you jump into a real world aircraft with the same radio stack, you will be able to use it in that aircraft.This is the real deal. It's how pilots practice when they're not flying, it's how hobbyists pass their time. OK, let's say that you got Prepar3D and Talking Flight Monitor. This is probably the most minimal setup you can have for us. P3D is the simulator itself, and TFM is the tool whereby we get spoken and auditory announcements in sim. You could pop into the ultralight and apply full throttle with the stick back and you would probably take off OK. If you didn't mess up too badly, you might fly around a little. You could alternatively use the slew mode with the 'Y' key to put yourself 4,000 feet into the air then you'd be flying and you could do that. But that's barely scratching the surface.If you want to know what it's truly like to fly, you must study everything from ground school materials to procedures, checklists, the aircraft's owner's manual, etc. When you do that, all the doors unlock for you and you'll be 35,000 feet high in a Boeing triple 7 or an Airbus A320. You'll be flying jet liners just like real world pilots do, and you'll be using the same workflow and procedures they use. Re: Eurofly anyone? Well, i'm at least willing to try and learn the stuff. Can i use keyboard instead of a flight stick or controller? Its kind of hard to do it with controllers if you use your pc with only one hand. And i guess this stuff is not free... I can pay, its not that, its the fact that if i don't like or if i find it too hard, i don't want to give out like 50 dollars for nothing.
