I found one by accident in Clayfighter 63 and a third, (the original version of the game for the N64) For those of you who don't know, the clayfighter series was a Claymation-based comedy series of games that made fun of fighting games while having legitimately challenging and interesting gameplay of their own thus making them more than just half-assed parodies.If you beat the said clayfighter title on a very high difficulty, they would give you codes to do special things. I had found the codes for the hidden options menu and the secret character "Sumo Santa" just from being told how to do them. Both of them were simple sequences that involved all the C-buttons and the a and b buttons being pressed in a sequence with the L and R buttons pressed down. Figuring this out, I started to try other sequences on my own.I found if you do the Sumo Santa code backwards, you actually get the code for another secret character "Dr. Kiln." Re: Have you ever accidentally discovered a cheat or easter egg in a game? I once somehow managed to accident my Genesis off its perch and into the floor while it was playing Sonic 3d Blast. Instead of coming unplugged or breaking, it went to the Level Select screen, using an intro that IIRC doesn't even happen if you try doing the normal level select code.The Power Rangers fighting game for Genesis has hidden moves of some kind, presumably falling into the "desperation" category. I have never found a guide that explains how they work, they aren't in the instructions, etc. I somehow performed a couple of them a couple times, but have never been able to replicate it. I assume it has something to do with that purple-and-blue meter under your life bar. Yup I remember accidentally discovering that mk 2 Easter egg as well.That reminds me of when in desperation to find a secret for samurai shodown on smes I powered up the console and started mashing buttons and suddenly heard amakusa shyro's voice. Turns out if you do that, then hold l and r and press start on haomaru while in vs or tine trial mode, you will get to use amakusa, who is the last boss of the game and is totally op.Speaking of button mashing, if you button mash fast enough while in danger in killer instinct for the snes, you will regain a sliver of life but can be killed in 1 hit. Discovering things like that back then was always exciting because all we had to go on for the most part was word of mouth. I've discovered a few over the years like the bar cheat in world of legends, also a lot of wierd strategies for golden axe using gillias thunderhead, like using his back roll to duck under incoming attacks, and even pick up and throw the giants when they're standing up in crouch. I think though the first I ever discovered was the one for mortal combat 2 on the snes back in around 1992. Holld l and r on the opening screen and you get a little sequence where Shaokarn taunts you and kintaro jump stomps on the aclaim sign . Super mario bros, pacman and afterburner were my first games for the nintendo way back in 1991, and that was my first discovery way back them. Have you ever accidentally discovered a cheat or easter egg in a game? Subject says it all. Have you ever accidentally discovered an easter egg or cheat in a game without getting a list of codes after you beat it or consulting a guide? In my case, I once discovered the evade blades forever cheat in Battle Zone, though I'm not quite sure how I did. I also accidentally discovered the interesting trash can messages in Blast Chamber, and an undocumented command to disable tutorial pauses in Rhythm Rage.
