IDT balling by the IDT group! Hi there. I'm happy to announce that i'm here again, with another small title from IDT(Iran development team). This game of course involves a ball, and an interesting aponent. As soon as the game starts, the ball which is at the center, comes randomly either towards you, or towards your aponent. Whenever the ball comes towards you, Either at the start of the game or when your aponent shoots it, You have to defend it and shoot it back. Hold down A, or D, To move left or right. Try to center the ball and hold w to shoot straight, hold e to shoot to the right or hold e to shoot to the left. The game field is square shaped so If you shoot the ball to the right, or to the left, it diagnally moves to the left or to the right, depending on how you did shoot it. Then it bounces the side of the game field and goes towards the oposite wall. You can use this to strategicly score a goal. Each time you place the ball in your aponent's goal he becomes slower and you gain two scores and he loses the same amount of score and vice versa. Whenever someone shoots the ball, the speed of the ball increases so be careful! I hope this game can be something enjoyable for you all. Re: IDT balling by the IDT group! I like this, it's a cool concept. A few things, I'd like a miss sound so you can tell you swung and didn't hit. I'd also like a hit sound as well when the ball does get hit to distinguish that from a bounce off the wall. Also, the controls are very cramped being all on the left hand. I'd prefer to use arrow keys, but I get that might be an issue for jaws peeps, but something like J, L I and K for moving and W A D and S for the ball hitting. Sorry for the double post, for the guys saying about this and that where the game doesn't work, I can just tell you from my own experience that compiling python in this manner is a very finicky process, then you sometimes even have issues, like the ones you are having, where the game works just fine from source but not from the compilation, or, the game works from the compilation on *your* system, but you take it to another one and it doesn't. It would be good if you guys to cut them some slack in this matter, because believe me, it's a bit of a pain. It gives the player more incentive to make good sure they hit that ball or else, thus adding an element of intensity to it. Honestly, it's quite promising!I do have a few suggestions though.1. The panning in the game seems quite jumpy for the genre. The volume step is fine, but the way the ball pans just doesn't quite feel smooth to me.2. I don't know if there's a key to announce scores or not, but if not can you please add one?3. The game just kind of tosses you in there without any adue, and so I originally thought I was listening to an intro when it first started.Also as a side note I'm not sure if the ball gets faster or not, but it does seem like the opponent is able to hit it every time. Perhaps this is just my lack of skill though. Keep it up though and I look forward to seeing what this becomes in future! Added a good bounce sound, You can now indicate where the ai is by listening to his moving sound, added the s key to check for the current scores, and last but not least changed the movement keys to left and right arrow keys. The update that has arrow keys instead of A and D is already uploaded on the server and is downloadable form the first post's link. But the other updates I mentioned are still in hand. Please give me any other suggestions that you might have. oh BTW, Yeah the ball moving sound is so unnatural and I don't have any others to replace with. The control of the pan is not in my hands, that is the way fmod pans sounds. So I might be able to code some before I update the game. Please note, there's no jumping. Both player and the ai can shoot the ball in the air without jumping because it doesn't go up that high for now. I might add another shooting mode where you shoot the ball high in the air so the aponent needs to jump to get the ball but not now. The only sound I now hear is the constant rolling sound of the ball. What I can recommend is deleting the downloading data of the game from the software you use to download IDT balling. If it's internet download manager, it should be in a list when you open the software. simpley press delete on it then press enter.
