And it really depends on how deeply you want to learn the language. IF you want to just know some phrases to get by, pimsler? which is spelled differently than how I just wrote it is a quick and easy way. Possibly the most accessible yet information rich free site there is around, at least that I've found. But this site I really think is for those people who want to learn the language itself on a deep level, not just a few sentences or phrases which is what people generally mean when they want to learn a language.#3 very presumptuous of you to assume that I advised the OP to google it as opposed to just giving websites because I don't have any genuine answers. I can give answers and the websites I used to use, but many of them are no longer around, and there are likely better alternatives which is why I suggested googling. They may likely find something better than what I could suggest, especially since they never specified what they were looking for in a specific enough way for me to actually recommend sites. So even more important than finding a website for learning Japanese, find a group, online or otherwise, where there are people who are either native speakers or have similar levels of ability as natives, and get talking!
