I use Firefox. It's accessible, fast enough, and with a few tweaks like the ones in the link below, pretty good for privacy.https://www.privacytools.io/browsers/On Android, I obviously use Firefox as well. Namely, I use the F-Droid version of it:https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.moz … ec_fdroid/It's somewhat slower, most likely because I have a very cheap phone. But it works well, and I can use most of the add ons that I use on the desktop version. Which's great, because I can't imagine browsing without uBlock Origin anymore.

I actually didn't know Opera was still going; well the browser as opposed to the musical theatre, that I know quite a bit about .I thought Opera  Merged with Safari or got bought out by someone else and was now operating under a different name, though again I've never looked into the situation myself more completely since I was previously quite happy with IE and now am quite happy with chrome.Edit: Okay had a quick poke around wikipedia's article on the opera browser. I'm less bothered by the fact that its owned by a chinese consortium now, than basically it sounds like the majority of the features are either implemented in other browsers like chrome, EG fishing filter, delete browser history etc, or basic visual aids like this quick dial thing which don't sound like they'd help screen reader navigation much, as I said, I personally hate tab browsing and would rather have several new windows open instead.Apparently Opera is indeed slightly faster on slower  due to data compression, though with the connection speed on my desktop that would have less  effect on me at this point. Btw, this isn't intended as an opera bash, just what I've found out.

Turning off "use screen layout usually displays things on separate lines with chrome, though I've been noticing this problem less and less in later NvdA versions. I can't speak about speed since Chrome's always seemed really quick to me. The only time I've ever had to wait in terms of loading is when synchronising settings with another device, and even that is only really noticeable on my laptop which just has 3 gb of ram.

Re: Let's Talk Browsers

Opera is based on Chromium, the same engine that powers Chrome, Brave etc, so it renders web content in the same way Chrome does. In my limited testing of it I haven't found it to be any faster than Chrome with NVDA, but ymmv. Either way I would not advise using Opera at all. Yes, it has a built-in VPN and an ad blocker, but that's just to lull you into a false sense of security. Opera is owned by some Chinese company, and they also have a partnership with Facebook where they put Messenger and such in Opera's sidebar.

@Dark, NVDA tends to work faster on Opra. That's why I like it. I'm not sure if it is Opera that handles web content in a different way, but I can notice the difference from Chrome.Sometimes it is the display of web content that makes me like browsers like Internet Explorer or the firefox-based web browser Waterfox. In some instances Crhomium-based browsers mix the content in one line or the line breaks are not displayed properly.

@Afrim I'm a wee bit confused about what you mean with NvdA and chrome having problems. The only issue I've noticed in Chrome is the bookmarks manager being generally silly, and I usually get around that by using edit on individual bookmarks. When I switched from IE to Chrome I was quite surprised how much better the experience was, EG no extra blank lines and so on.

Re: Let's Talk Browsers

I use Chrome as my default browser; however, I use Opera as my primary web browser. The only reason I choose Opera over Chrome is that it tends to get along with NVDA far better than Chrome, as well as it has a built-in Adblocker.I could never get used to the new Firefox. It's just laggy all the time. It performs better with NVDA, whereas it tends to crash all the time with JAWS.I like Waterfox a lot, especially with respect to how the layout of the content is displayed. It reminds me of the days I used Firefox in a daily basis; however, I stopped using it when I installed Opera.Brave sounds interesting and I have it installed on My Laptop but it tends to crash a lot on websites that present a lot of content so it will go away some day.The newEdge sounds promising but there is still something wrong with the way how the element navigation buttons are announced by screen readers. NVDA tends to say Heading level 1/2/3 all the time and it's annoying. It makes up for a good PDF/epub reader, though.I think I will go back to Waterfox again.

I've been using Chrome as my default browser for a couple of years now. I used Firefox for a long time before that, but once the add-ons structure was updated, I decided I didn't want to keep using it. While I keep a copy on my system for the odd page that doesn't seem to render as well in Chrome, for the most part it's much better and faster than Firefox ever was. Of course, if Google really does go through with these changes that are supposed to break adblockers, I may very well switch to Brave.

I used IE until it became clear that too  much modern web stuff wouldn't work with it, then switched to Chrome in late 2017 and haven't looked back. Firefox I found to be both laggy and a resource hog last time I tried it, though admitedly that was back on Xp and matters have probably changed, still, I recall something about recent versions not playing nicely with NVDA either.Edge just  seems too spammy and loaded with adverts to me, but then again I've never been a fan of tabs and have an addon in chrome just to disable them. Safari I've messed around with on mobile, but find Vo's Ios navigation and image reading a bit too clunky to use for serious internet browsing, though as I've just invested in a bluetooth keyboard for Ios this might change in the future. Opera and Waterfox I've heard of but never tried, and Brave I've never even heard of before .

Re: Let's Talk Browsers

I use firefox on the computer, but i don't like it for mobile, so i use samsung internet. But i do have a question about chrome on mobile. Does any one else also have the problem where if you scroll too far down a page sometimes, it'll just disappear?

Let's Talk Browsers

Hello everyone,I've been going on a major browser tour these past few months, trying out pretty much every slightly significant browser I could think of, and I think I've finally settled on a default one for the foreseeable future. However, I'm curious, which browser do you guys use as your daily driver? Please vote in the poll above. We can also use this topic to discuss browsers in general, including mobile ones, even though they're not the subject of the poll. So go crazy.
