This is where community failure comes in.If someone has their account legitimately hacked, that's clearly an awful thing, and I think most of us would be willing to show at least some sympathy for this.What's not cool at all, however, is attempting to manipulate people by lying to them, by trying to elicit their sympathy or pity purely because you've dug a hole you can't climb out of on your own. It is clear beyond a reasonable doubt that Makenan53 did this, and this is why we are invoking the community failure clause.Many of you, when this clause was first introduced late in 2018 or early in 2019, expressed the concern that it would be used to justify any sort of punishment we might want to throw down. I hope that, almost two years later, you now see why it has to exist. It covers for all the random things not explicitly covered by the rules. Most sites worth their salt have some version of this clause, and it's to cover situations not explicitly determined by case law. Makenan53 has failed the community by trying to lie about being hacked in order to stop being closely scrutinized for extremely shady business practices; as such, he is being dealt with.I also think that this thread has no real reason to continue being open, and as such, I'm locking it. Anyone coming late to this situation should note that ten-dollar radio stations are simply not practical in today's day and age, and as such, a healthy amount of safety and skepticism are strongly encouraged. There are many folks eager to part you from your money by illegitimate means, and while we can't possibly protect you from all of them, we can definitely put a stop to it on the forum where we see it.
