There is no need for that. select all of both of them then press alt + t then search for a line sub-menu. Inside it there is an option called a line end to end. Press it and you should be fine.

There are a few ways. You can use the time shift tool to drag one of the tracks so it plays after the first, or select and copy one track and paste it on the end of the other.
