Unfortunately, Im pretty burnt out on this game at the moment. While backing up files to my external, I somehow managed to either delete or misplace my beatstar.dat file. Imagine my horror when I launched the game and could no longer play any of my soundpacks, not to mention the 60 beatcoins I lost.So maybe having a new version will help me not be so bummed out about my obliterated game.

Hay omomez92, I think I found a bug in betstar, and I wanted to tell you about it before you made the final changes to the latest release.Whe im making a soundpack and testing it, I noticed that after the last level, I had the five safe gards that Id get if I finished the pack normally, and they got used up on my next test run.Whats more, I seem to have all of the beats unlocked for my packs that I created, and only for those Ive made.Im not sure if that last part is supposed to happen, but it does.really excited for the new release.

The game itself have libraries for nvda and maybe for other screenreaders. If you are running for example jaws and after launch you get Win Eyes, this may comfuse the game which reader is running so the reading of soundpacks is not working properly.

Never mind, but I have got another problem. when I am in the list of downloadable soundpacks it sometimes doesn`t read names of packs. I have to press up and down arrow to know what is in the list. Hi oriol and players. I discovered this game recently and I am really excited. I have some questions, sorry if this was asked and answered before. I gained some money and bought the eloquence pack. Yes, that one simple where it says the appropriate keys. So I win all levels and get to the random. In random, I am getting safe cards after each one or two keypresses, is that fine or is it some kind of bug? the second question is, would it be possible to translate the game to other languages? I mean the main menu, numbers and stuff, not soundpack. Are you planning this? I can translate it to slovak.

Hello,From what I can tell because the game creates a unique encription key for each pack, thats why when the name is changed it wont work, as maybe it cant find the key or something. Interestingly, the more I think about this, the more it makes sense actually.

Hello,Im not sure why this happens. For one of my packs under development, no one could play it but me and I had to keep having a go at renaming it until it finally worked. I tihnk you have to use a packs original name to make it work properly.

Theyre just parts of the game, after all, and were getting new ones all the time.Still, if you want to surprise us, thats cool too. Hi,First off, interesting game, its frustrating but addictive at the same time, depending on how well the packs have been put together.Secondly, Im working on a couple of things. A Mortal Kombat pack (not an MK3 one) and a metal pack of sorts. I wont set a release date, as Ive seen so many projects, kickstarters etc anger fans by setting those. I can say categorically that when its done and I feel ready to hand it to the public, itll be done and Ill hand be ready to hand it to the public.Look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with in the future for this title.

Yeah, I agree about the Samsung pack too.The other pack that has this issue is the hip hop pack. The sound you get when you lose is way too long, IMO. That could be cut in half and still be quite effective. Otherwise, its a good pack.

Hi. I dont know if this has to be in an other thread but the samsung pack... Well, i made it to level like 22 or something but its really hard.The sounds have pauses at the start, they are way too long; and the music doesnt loop right. And the sounds are really fast and sometimes drowned out by the music. Sorry for critisizing, but thats how i feal about that pack. I like the menu music though. If anyone wants to know, its the default ringtone in the samsung galaxi S-IV.

Hi.If someone updates a soundpack, it will appear in the downloads. Defender:1.  After the first track, there is no time to learn the beat of the song before the first action starts like there usually is, because the first action starts when the song does, instead of waiting one measure, this makes it very hard to deal with, especially on fast beats, as you can lose before even knowing what hit you.Ill look into itThe other thing about loops not being synchronized is because of the music I believe. Sometimes it will be a little off because some older packs or even new ones dont have exact bpms, sadly i dont thinkw e can fix it unless we do all the bpms againthe pre sound I should fix.Rhythm challenge mode... Another idea I have kicking around in my head, although I imagine it would probably be difficult to implement, would be an online mode. It would work a bit like the multiplayer mode in the old Bop it games. After a few beats, play would switch to the other person, who would then have to keep the rhythm going for a few beats, and then it would switch back and forth until somebody messed up. Scores for this mode could also be posted to the server.As I said, this probably wouldnt be an easy thing to do, so I totally understand if it doesnt happen. But it would be really cool.

Hi,I have a question. If someone updates a soundpack I already downloaded, will the pack then appear in my downloads again or do I have to delete the old one to see the new version in the downloads? Im just asking so I dont miss any updates to soundpacks.And I just wanted to report that in the german pack, level 6 is quite off after a short while, the sounds start to play way too slow. And the ringtones pack still doesnt loop right, though I still try to play it which is not easy that way.

hey oriol, just a couple feature suggestionsfirst, not sure how hard this would be to do but would it be possible to code in an alternative mode where keeping rhythm is actually completely necessary to get through levels? either for those who just want more of a challenge or those who want to test their rhythm skills?secondly and this is more of a minor thing, but would it be possible to make it so you can here the freeze action in the learn sounds screen? I really like the new game mode, but I did encounter 2 problems with it.1. After the first track, there is no time to learn the beat of the song before the first action starts like there usually is, because the first action starts when the song does, instead of waiting one measure, this makes it very hard to deal with, especially on fast beats, as you can lose before even knowing what hit you.2. After a while, maybe 4 to 6 actions, the actions to beat ratio gets slightly off, maybe this is because of the improper loop? But I dont think that would be as obvious...One other thing that I dont know for sure is a bug, is the fact that the pre sound is only played for the first level, and that their is no new level sound played.Either way I really like the new mode and score board, thanks for an awesome update!I wonder, are the scoreboards pack specific? I just found something else, if you exit by hitting escape, while playing the memory mode, instead of being told what your best score so far was and being aloud to submit your score, you are told how many beatcoins youve earned and taken back to the main menu, as if youd exited from the normal game.

Hay Ogomez92, after I download the update and replace all files in my games folder with the updated ones, the game is still downloading the update.Also, gapless playback betwedn the pre files and the levels hasnt been enabled yet.I just tried the gardian of the gallaxy pack, and their is still a small gap between the lv1 pre sound, and the actual level.

Man, this game is addicting. The Mario pack is my favorite, but the chipchune and uncensored dubstep are close seconds. Ive been playing them about equally today.I dont know why, but Symphony of Science is extremely difficult. I just cant seem to map which sounds go where in my head. I dont have this problem with most of the others, but that one is really bad. Its a shame, because I liked the music I heard so far. I think I could only get to level 2 on that pack.

Hello all,New pack available, samsung. Here are my initial impressions: a nice start, but some of the level volumes need to be lowered, I could not get past level 2 because the first part of that level is loud and I did not hear what action I had to perform. Also, the action sound for enter is kind of long, which could get tricky if he pack starts to get fast, but I dont know if thats the case yet, so maybe itll work.

Hi.I have a bug with the game.After updating to the latest version, it keeps downloading message of the day and after that it says there is a new version available. So i must press escape every time i want to play the newest version.Whats wrong with this?

Hi.Im having some issues with my latest pack that Im working on, so Ive been forced to remove two songs, because the beats was messed up. It was like: The first 5 seconds of the songs, the beat matched great. But then, it started to go totally off the beat. It was really weird and annoying. But, Im not sure if thats a bug in the game somehow, or if theres something wrong with the beats in the songs. Oriol: I can send you the pack including the songs which are messed up so you can bugfix on this if you wants to. But I think Ill release my pack without those songs, simply because I dont wanna mess with those anymore.

Oh, and the pack creator does not play the action.ogg file when I press space. Id do a recording if it did play that sound.

Its only supposed to play after you hit space like 8 or so times. Then it just sits there and plays the action sound until you hit either space or enter again.

emm,i got the bug. when i play rendom mode in AA1 soundpack (i played in 2 minut i think) them the game close , this bug happend in all soundpack i think... sorry my bad english. hope you understand what i say..

It really seems that the pack creator aint doing its job right. It says enter level, I enter 1, I do the beet, it seems very in sync, I press enter, it says finish, I go to the game, but what the heck, the beat is really off! Plz fix this somethins wrong here

Hello,@burac: Its OK, nothing is wrong. In fact you are doing things right, the only thing you will now have to do is edit the bpm in notepad and keep debugging a level until it is right. This might take a while, but the key is to just keep trying. Fine tuning I have found is the best way. So, if the tool ended up making a bpm file with level 1 being 2300 and it plays before or after, then try fine tuning. If its playing too early, make the milliseconds something like 2320, and if thats still too early try 2330, then, if its sort of right but starts to slide, start to fine tune. 2332, 2333, or, 2336, etc. Just keep trying one level until it is right.Oh, dont worry about the 0 at the beginning of the file, move past it. The first level is located after the first comma, the second after that, etc.I hope this helps.

Hello,I dont know about the wiimote, but it would be kind of cool if controler support, asin joysticks, could be added, wih button1 buton2 and such. I have a logitech f710 gamepad and it could be interesting to play with it, it might also help if a sighted gamer wants to play, a friend ofmine said hed love to play this but hed find a controller easier.

Hi Oriol, this game is realy great and funny so far. A few suggestions and a Little bug I have to Report:- It would be great if you could implement Support for game Controllers, especially with Motion tracking devices like the Controllers of the nintendo WII this game would be even funnier i think. What do you think about this?- Just a question, I cant download rythm heaven and sonic V2. Are this Packs having Problems so that they have to be fixed?- And a Little bug: I tryed to download packs. But there was no Network Connection available. So I could hear a clock ticking Sound. Back in the main menu, that clock sould doesnt stop. Even if I started the game, the clock was still ticking.Keep up the great work. Youre doing a fantastic Job and I am already addicted.
