Re: Digital audio work station software for windows. I agree with others about Reaper. Using the Osara extension, it is very usable with NVDA. It isn't completely set up for easy use of the MIDI editor from the start, so you do have to manually assign some of the functions to key strokes, but once you're used to how it works and you have a decent MIDI controller and audio interface, you can do just about anything with it. QWS is a good choice for those who handle the MIDI keyboard well, or the on-screen keyboard.To be honest, I've never made MIDIs with the QWS, except to have fun testing the instruments of a SoundFont, or a sound driver like the OPL3 WinMM Driver.I make MIDIs using a software called MidiText, made by QuentinC.Of course, if you want to make humanized MIDIs you must use a MIDI keyboard or the QWS on-screen keyboard.
