@bradp unfortunately I don't have a layout, I'll see what I can do in a sec to tell you how to turn on auto aim. Exactly, if you're a passenger you will exit the car on the right side, meaning that if you request a cab to take you at a house or at a bar, you will have to head to the right when you get out because he leaves you right in front of the door. Yes the layout is easy to understand once you get to know the place.

I highly doubt it's going to be possible unfortunately. Even if NVDA would read the menus, we'd still need some ways to know where we're at, etc. So I doubt this could become too much accessible.@hadi.gsf After testing, it fully works on my part. Make sure you are not touching your pc controller when you use the trainer, because it can interfeare. You can also change options using the GamePad and that's why you should not walk or do anything while you try and spawn that body guard. Let's try something. Turn NumLock on, press f3, then press the number 2 three times. Then, press the number 5 three times. You're suppose to spawn a boat and actually be in it, try and press the left stick to use the horn. Let me know if it works. If not, you might not have all the files needed to run the trainer and that can easily be fixed

Yeah GTA V will never be accessible to screen readers, NVDA gets kind of sluggish in there, and only really reads incoming background stuff. One thing to note, since the game requires s decent graphics setup that if you are not experienceing smooth gameplay it most likely  is due to a limited resources in your graphics card. I might have to make a layout for the graphics options to that people can turn the settings down to make it playable on a wider variety of systems though it probably does some sort of autoconfigure, there's more you can do.

You have to have the mod properly installed though -- We'll sort out a guide for that after I figure this trainer i guess.@seb2314, I tried to spawn the boat, but it failed. now, I imagined that whenever i press zero and back out of the trainer and re launch it again with f3, It doesn't put the selection from the top, It selects your previously chosen item in the main menu. so I played around with it, and I could spawn the boat. I also could spawn some kind of dogs too, but It was all luck and fiddling with the controls.Could our menu orders differ from each other? when did you install the trainer, Maybe because i installed this today, the version is different from yours?For some reason, It seems like  My main menu is different from yours.

I doubt this, but if I can grab a cab and could learn the layout of the cab menu which would be hard because it would change since I have not completed the game, but you would be able to find the missions, its just a matter of... Maybe we could do certain missions? though I doubt it of course since we can not take cabs on missions and must take the cars. Would be cool though if we could do the missions.

@JWoodill21 I did know on what street or part of town the strip club was at, so I just remembered the layout of the menu when you're in the cab and went to strawberry. If you noticed, I even chose the wrong thing at first since you heard I selected the international airport, and Strawberry is to the left of it.@bradp it's pretty simple in fact, whenever you're currently on a mission you go in a cab and the first option is to go to the actual waypoint/marker so it brings you right at the start of each mission.@hanif first person view really does help. I'm planning on releasing more recordings and with definitely more action  this was just to show how FPV really helps with the game.@ironcross32 you're right, and if you could help with the lower pc settings that would be great. I wasn't able to try anything regarding it, since my pc is already supporting it.@hadi.gsf try to download the trainer from herehttp://forum.jvangent.nl/download/trainerv.rarI'm sure you probably did that already, but if not download the script hook plus the asi file loader. @bradp let's try this, but I'm not sure it will work since I have the PC version. Restart the game, when you have control press start, go right 3 times, press x twice, go down one time and press right. Auto aim is now set to full.

@seb2314I have a question before reinstalling the trainer:According to your notes, vehicle spawning is the fourth option...  But in your test instruction you gave me, you said that i have to press numbpad 2 twice, does that mean that when the trainer is launched, your focus is in the second item of the main menu?I have successfully spawned the boat with your instructions; I had to press the keys very slowly with pauses between them.

Well, after pressing f3, you're on the options menu. If you press number 2 three times, you will end up at the vehicle spawning menu. I think I know what your problem is though. Pressing it fast might be the problem since sometimes it might skip an option, that is why it's going to help whenever we get to hear the sounds when scrolling.

dont think it worked. Might ask my brother. And from what he told me a while ago, I was able to hear the random people on the street but the character wouldnt be facing them meaning when autoaim was on, it wouldnt target them. and are you able to autoaim at pedestrians?

When I go into the game today, I will write down the menu options on how to turn auto aim on since I am partially sighted and can read the options if i get right ontop of the screenAs for navigating the menu, it scrolls very fast, in the GTA IV you could change this, but I don't know if this trainer has that option, I'd have to look in the INI file to see. It was a value in milliseconds and I think in GTA IV, it was set at 70 or something and you could change it making the menu scroll a bit slower. Although, I think it will be fine when sounds are added in because most of the menus have a lot of options, some even have two pages of options so scrolling slower would take forever to get to what you want.

I'm now installing the game to try this out, I've been meaning to do this for a long time anyway so yeah.@Seb perhaps you could suggest to this trainer developer to do what skullgirls does and copy things to the Clipboard? Not sure how  it's being developped, but if he can write to the clipboard it would be a cheep way of making the menus talk.

@bradp Yes the character faces the closest ped when auto aim is on, that's actually the reason for it to be turned on. Make sure your brother was not using the free aim option, it needs to be set at full.@pitermach I'll definitely ask him about that. Great idea

Here's another recording, this time basically showing auto aim. Keep in mind that I'm attacking peds that basically didn't do shit to me, but I needed to demonstrate how it works and especially that you can follow them by holding the auto aim button and walking forward. That's the best way to attack them using melee. You'll also note that I go to the beach and it's really easy to navigate using first person view, and the sound is helping a lot too, you basically know if you go further in the water or go back towards the beach. The clipboard concept comes from most japanese audio games For some reason, every Japanese screen reader automatically reads the Windows clipboard when it changes, so many audio game developers there use it as a way to add screen reader speech. There's also programs that do this for every screen reader, clipreader, clipboard2sapi, etc and NVDA at least has a hotkey to read what the clipboard currently contains. The awesome thing about adding speech this way is that, while speaking directly via screen reader requires being able to access external libraries, just about every programming language has built-in functions to put text on the clipboard. So when you turn this feature on in Skullgirls, it causes the game to copy the name of a currently selected menu, story mode text and so on to the clipboard when it changes. The GTA trainer could do this too, and if this is possible maybe the dev could add hotkeys to speak information that we can't see normally like current healt
 h, cash, ammo and so on.

Well someone would need to make an addon for nvda to make it speak out the clipboard automatically bacause in the game nvda keystrokes are being intercepted by the game and thus, do not work. Also, guys, you need to realize this is a very resource intensive game so NVDA gets a bit sluggish while its open.

Dude, you've got it a bit confused, While GTA V does revisit San Andreas, they are two completely different games. So if you have GTA San Andreas, you don't have GTA V. A lot of the files in the GTA V installation are encrypted too so they are RPF files.

OK guys, there is a serious threat involving two GTA V mods. I doubt anyone here has used them as probably most are using a trainer or other. They are: Angry Planes and Simple Noclip. These mods, if installed into the GTA V and if installed and GTA V is launched, they install a keylogger which is called fade.exe. The major threat of keyloggers is of course password stealing. If you have used this mod, go to www.gta5-mods.com and  read the article there. You get to it by switching frames one or twice, in NVDA, this is M. Follow the link from there to learn about removing this threat, however, after following all the steps, it kept coming back, and I ended up reinstalling windows just now. Like I said, I don't think anyone probably used these mods, but I need to just make sure and warn everyone. If you did run these mods or one or the other, don't think it might have not affected you, even if your antivirus has deleted it, it cou
 ld have captured any passwords you have, so change them, and / or start using an encryption tool and get your browser to not remember passwords. GTA5-mods is ramping up their security from this, I think it hit them by surprise. The bad thing about this one is, a lot of antiviruses didn't register it as a threat.Don't mean to scare you guys, if you didn't use Angry Planes or Simple Noclip, you're good.

hello ironcross, word doesn't seem to like your notes file. when I launch it, nvda just says unknown and doesn't read any other applications. when I press alt f 4, word tells me that it found unreadable content and asks me if I want to restore it. both options no and yes do the same, just show me the unknown thingy again and I can't use anything else untill I press alt f 4 to get out of there.

@pitermach I've missed your stream; But when i launched your stream URL, there were two guys playing some game that i didn't recognize. It was good; though, I am not a fan of bidirectional microphones, They are not that suitable for gaming+talking. It was very loud as well.Overall It was great! How can I tell how to walk inside a building like a movie theater or a store that has no music or anything? I know that the strip club has music, but I'm not sure if all stores have different sounds or music that you can listen to to tell where the entrance is.

Hi.Having been out of country for some days and been busy with a lot of things, I have just followed up on this topic now. [[wow]] all that sounds awesome.I don't have a pc which can run the game, so I plan to buy this for my ps4. Would you say it would be worth it to buy the game for the ps4 when I don't have sighted assistance to get any help with the game?It's quite nice that people wanna stream the game. But if you want people to listen to this, streaming is not the way to go. People are always missing the streams, especially us who are in different timezones. Why not just make recordings instead?

hi@slj you can enjoy this game on PS4 as well, but there is only one thing that you should know that you cannot mod the game.This means you won't be able to use some features such as autodrive, autopilot and bodyguards, and some other crazy mods that you can install on PC.What's your PC's specifications anyway? I can take a look at it to see if it's able to run gta V.Of course you can buy it for your ps4 and enjoy the rest of the things. you can use taxies for going around and you'll have the autoaim as well

really wish I knew the map screen when you havent completed the game, up to mission 20 something, trevor has made it to los antos. And I dont think other peoples saves work on the ps4 cause the users on the ps4 are your PSN account.

@JWoodill21 Whenever you have a marker to go to, it appears in your points of interest on the map. Press start, then A. You have all the points of interest available, navigate them using the DPad up and down and press a to set a waypoint, assuming you use an Xbox 360 controller. If you use a keyboard I'm not sure on the config keys. I'll post an updated list of the different points of interest tonight, because it changes from character to character so my previous one is kind of useless. Here's another recording, this time just calling a friend and picking him up. This time the autodrive mod had a little issue getting through something, although i got out, walked forward and spawn another car. I was able to go to pick up Frank after that. It does, you can get out of the car, but you can drive too, you may have to hit j again though i don't know. The helicopter part is... ehh, yeah, um... yeah... kind of sketchy.

@exodus the autodrive mod cancels the autodrive when you hit your destination, so you're back at control.@ironcross remember after your helicopter hovers above your destination, you need to press L for autoland.

Heh, the helo never made it to its destination, and it kind of autocrashed, hahahaha. but, at least it didn't just nose dive into the ground, it kind of hit at a moderate angle and hit the bottom part of the nose and fell back on its skids and slid a little.

SLJ, I need some info about your virtual windows installation:How much of memory is deticated to it, when it's running?If possible, I also want to know that what's your CPU model and frequency and number of cores, and how much of that is available in your windows installation.And, name your graphic card which is on your macbook air?Also, let me know how much free space you got in your windows installation.You don't need a super computer for GTA, GTA runs on very low end computers, and the most sacrifice it makes is visual quality (which you don't require anyway).

Dude, I don't see how GTA is *ever* going to run on a virtual machine. I've heard the mac hardware isnice, but I really doubt this is gonna work for you. Could you not do boot camp where instead of running the VM inside OSX, you actually boot into windows, now, if you could do that, I'm sure it'd work for you.

You could probably bootcamp it, and run the game at 720 P with everything turned down. The macbook should be able to handle that

Here is my specs:1,4 GHz Intel Core i58 GB 1600 MHz DDR3I can give my virtual machine up to 6 gb ram.Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MBI only have a few gb left on my internal harddisk, but I might be able to clean it up to get some more space.I haven't messed around with bootcamp, but might be able to get sighted assistance for that sometimes. I just hate when Windows crashes, and I can always reinstall it on my own when using a virtual machine. I'm not sure if I would be able to do that on a bootcamp.

@108 you need the DotNet script hook as well.@109 It would definitely be enough without the VM, if you boot camp it. You could try it inside a windows VM, but I am doubful of any good results.

Keep in mind that the taxi menu is useless, since you can just press start, go to map and put a waypoint wherever you want to go and the first option when getting into a cab will be the destination you set via the map menu. For everyone playing this game on PC, assuming you're using headphones, apparently it's better to use the headphones preset. Press start, press right 3 times and then confirm to go to settings, press down three times and then confirm to go to audio settings and then press up 3 times, left one time and press start. I don't have time to test this tonight, but apparently it's better using that.
