I mean I see play as gay nonbinary or whatever in just about all their newsletters that come into my inbox and it's a little offputting to see that copy-pasted into nearly every game description of theirs giving the impression that their authors are required to include some form of romance into their games just so they can just copy-paste that into the desc to increase the word count. That's not to say that I have anything against individuals of that orientation; I dont. However having someone constantly shove it into my eyeballs and eardrums is rather annoying.Having said that, there are a few things I like from them, like lord of aswick and tinstar. Just wish they had a cross platform program since I bought some of their stuff on iOS but can't play it anymore now that in on android. I personally prefer the delight games brand when it comes to gamebooks like that. They haven't released anything in 2019, for example.I like romance in COG, but now they're locking it in Hearts for certain games as to the character you can play. I like Erotica, but not gay Erotica, so Jim Dattilo's wrestling game won't be for me.Also, for those that do like the romance options, Delight Games is slim. You have Alice and Zombie High, as far as I know. In some cases, romance in COG games can actually help you through the game. Tin Star is a perfect example, where my partner had better gunplay skills. Re: Heart's Choice: from the people at Choiceofgames. these launch titles in the Heart's Choice games are PG-13 but even so, that implies that some of them will be more.As for the criticism of the mainstream titles and the ability to be any sexuality and such in the mainstream games. Here is how I think of it though it is somewhat off-topic.1. Doing that for their games makes them inclusive for everyone. I always play straight men, Because I'm a straight man. But I think people who are LGBTQA+ really appreciate a game company realizing that they exist and acting accordingly in the instructions they give to authors for game construction being made to include them.3. I have never found a game, though I've only played a bit over a dozen titles, where romance is strictly required, and if you arent' into romance, you can dump the romantic interests in the game.4. also as mentioned for Tin Star, though I have not played that one yet, sometimes your romantic choice if you want to make one is as much a choice of strategy as personal taste. In "Choice of Broadsides." Each possible wife ups one of your stats a bit and decreases another. For example, Beatrice West manages your wealth well, but she's a small fish in terms of the social scene and so she hurts your patronage a bit. In most of the choiceofgames I've played, the romance is worked well into the story. For example in "Diabolical" (my favorite title I've played," your interactions with Steelheart, Count//countess, and Drake can save your life at the end of the game. First time I played, I had such a good relationship with Steelheart that I was able to use that to beat the baddie in the end. So I don't really resent the romantic aspects of the mainstream games. Also, some people like a romantic side-plot but don't want it to dominate the game completely, and some people really like that in Diabolical or similar games, you play a main role but you can flirt with the ladies/men as you go. Some people like that middle road where the relationships romatincally are present, but aren't the centerpiece of the story entirely. The choiceofgames titles are themselves free, and you just buy games you like on them if you want them, and some are free sometimes. as for the prices, the most expensive title I've seen on Choiceofgames was about $6 American dollars, I don't know how that translates to Turkish money, but most are in the $3 to $5 range in American dollars. Most therefore being less than the price than a lunch at McDonalds or another low-end fast food place.I think the first couple games in this new app might be free though, and however it goes, you can at least look for free. The new omnibus app for these new titles is on IOS or Android and you can get it for free.
