It does charge fees, but it doesn't mark up the exchange rates and charges a really low fee which is transparently shown. You need to scan both sides of ID as different jpeg files and upload to their system. They don't have a markup on the exchange rate and their fee for the sender is nominal compared to the giants like PayPal who mark up the exchange rates and charge the sender and recipients fees on top of that.All these services require identity verification so you must find a way to get a picture of your ID or passport (I recommend passport since the expiration date is typically further out than a standard government-issued ID.) This is an amazingly efficient way to lose all your money. Scanning and sending your ID is fine, and a very normal thing to ask for. I've never had an employer not want it for example. There's a reason your ID also has a picture of you on it.If you can't scan your ID then get a sighted person. If you can't get a bank account because international borders and are trying to get around sanctions or something, your shit out of luck, doing this may or may not be borderline illegal, and you risk your money getting seized by whatever jurisdiction you make the bank account in. Assuming they allow the incoming transfer in the first place, because I promise there's no way to get the money to them without revealing where it came from. in that case, your best bet is a cryptocurrency.But assuming that neither of those is a problem long term, I had luck with Simple for years. I left because they stopped letting me mail checks, which I needed at the time. But their interface is accessible and their support was good.
