Re: Microsoft word crash with NVDA I'm rather confused, since I have word 2016, and NVDA 20.3 and haven't noticed any issues. A few NVDA versions ago Word was a bit slow to start, but since version 19 or so that has been fine and I've not had any crashing problems at my end. I wonder if it's a corrupted settings file somewhere? I have had issues in the past where NVDA's program backups became corrupted, and I needed to delete the NVDA folder from roming then restart NVDA afresh so it creates a blank copy, though that usually affects realspeak as opposed to just word.That's another question, have you tried running with different screen reader voices and/or different languages, since I do know word can monkey with language encoding. I also tried running old versions of NVDA from their installers (the option that says continue running) and it still crashed. Also tried deleting my word configuration profile. I'm running NVDA 2020.3 and office 2016.
