Jesse, if you want to make a MOO, code it from the ground up from lambdacore or encore or v-core or this so-called dglexsoft core Daniel will be releasing or another core, or even wipe all the ships and planets from the cosmos db and start new with new ship classes, etc with just the basic starship fraimwork and stuff. This is, of course, my last post on this topic. I never intended to get into this sub-blind community which does nothing more than mess with cosmos and pretend its a stock moo, but well, I got dragged into it by Danny here. He might not have done it willingly but well, here I am. Right now Im as bad off as Jesseleivo, Dglex or anyone else arguing on this thread, and if Dark would have banned all of us instead of just posting a warning moderation post (which by the way I greatly appreciate) I would have understood. Fair enough, I wont play it. Prome is an acception because they are, in my eyes trying to show people that they can actualy do something with this core. But as long as you have a database like cosmos floating around the net, so to will their be people wanting to use it to open a mud. Its no different than if I were to release a super awsome game engine, people hate it, yet it gets used. Bad exampple I know. Anyways, ill agree with post 22 here. If you really must make a big fight over this, please, I beg of you, take it off here and to some other place where we dont need to see it. If people really want to play jesses moo, then thats perfectly fine. If jesse wants to go through the struggles of being a coder/developer, let him. It simpply isnt worth it to try and stop people using the cosmos db or tell them t o not release it, because it will happen weather we like it or not. Now, onto the recent discussion. I do know exactly whats been going on seeing as I was on vast space as an administrator, but havent loged on recently. Jesse, you were band for a specific reason. What guilevi did may have been harsh, it may have been a little over the top, but the key here is to look the other way. This is what I mean about being a coder, its not easy, its harsh, and sometimes you will do things that people dont like. Jaybird and Danny are correct on this. frankly I do not know the long stream of who has done what to whom here on whatever mud, and to be honest from the perspective of the forum I do not exactly care. Either stop the bickering or I will close the topic.I will also add that whenever cosmos, spaceworlds, or any of these other space muds people are making come up the amount of childish name calling is ridiculous and overblown. I personally am put right off these games by such shenanigans, sinse if a developer cannot be civil on a forum I certainly would not trust them to run and fairly moderate a mud, and I imagine many possible new players think the same. I know there are charges of plagerism, as well as lots of other accusations, but really, the debate over these games has just dragged on and become quite ridiculous. I suggest that jesseleivo, Dgleks, guilevi and anyone else involved go and sort out your differences off the forum and at least come to an agreement not to start up this ongoing arguement with each other if your going to start announcing developed muds to the wider community. This is, in fact, yet another cosmos clone. I have been on it a few times, even tried to take it down so Jesse didnt go as far as he already has gone, but it was useless. As Ive said many times before, the cosmos database wasnt even supposed to be released in the first place, so the fact that so many people it is bad enough, no matter how much they modify it (Im looking at you too, @prometheusmoo). Jesse is just jealous of Miriani, and cosmos is the closest thing he could find to it. Since this topic has been discussed in this forum so many times before, I here please ask the moderators to consider closing this topic. If that is what you are doing, as Cosmos itself has caused enough drama as a game, shutting it down would probably be the best option here.
