Re: What's going on with Fire Fight? this may sound harsh, but I'm going to say, good riddence. It had all these stupid mega ultra hyper quad damgge rings, health rings that gave you far more health than what was reasonable, melee weapons that served no purposs other than to increase the count of total weapons in the game because there was no propper melee combat system that was better than guns, and overpowered snipers that could kill a newly spawned newbie in one or two hits without them being able to do anything about it. Please, if you do release anything new, just balance it. And when I say balance, I don't mean fiddling around with the numbers until you feel cumfortable, I mean making it so that everyone has a chance to figure things out and even for new spawners to kill campers if they have the skill to do so. Possibly include a sort of offlinetraining mode where you can practice fireing weapons at moving targets, tracking, and figure out what all the items do encase ther is no propper documentation (which has been the case for this type of games all the time after rs). Re: What's going on with Fire Fight? HiI understand that. It of course makes sense to be weird for a game to go down in a woosh. It was the best thing we could do though. Firefight was growing big, bigger than what bgt could handle. We used different tecniques to stop the long lag time and improve the game performance but none of them worked, and that aside. firefight was eating too much resources on the server because BGT does not have support for multithreadding and the hole game logic was running on a single thread, and that makes it a horible mess for such an online game. All of those reasons together forced us to take firefight down.I hope it was a clear explaination this time.BTW. To those who keep asking us about ffs sourcecode or server on skype, kindly stop that. We all saw what rs came to, and they had half decent admins.Imagine a game with no devs to maintain in this community.They would get pressured into fixing this and that and what not, so instead of waisting their time on something they didn't have the time to maintain, they focussed on something new that they could improve, instead of working on something that was going to require a lot of time that they didn't have. We all know bgt isn't the best, and we saw what it comes to when bgt makes other people its b*tch. When it happened for 2 weeks i knew it was down for good. Many people have asked, and kianoosh hasn't said anthing about it and i don't think he'll say anything about it now.
