safezone was in ff, but some players was camped there and it has bin removed. But in store, safezone was good cause when player coming, guy can kill him faster and he can't buy something.

So that means manual should be updated heheh. There's no safe zone in firefigfht except on a mission and that's just a set of stairs. And there's a store on each side of the map, and four stores on the botem center, most left center, most right center and most up center. There's a general store in the town square which of course is in the middle of the map. That general store has a regular store and another one that sells equipments.

yeah, completely rewrite the game basically. This is because instead off includes, it uses things called libraries. WHile some of them are very similar if not identicle and there for the same reason, say, includes\player.bgt, there might be several libraries for that combined, or multple libraries that need to be used for directional moving, and then dammage, so far so forth. THis is just my guess. Yeah rtr is just, meh. Firefight is not half bad in my opinion, but i wish more people played the game. The long downtime and the lag at the begining has turned players from the game. While the lag is somewhat there, it only, for me at least, really shows when theres like, 8plus players online, or when theres lots of machineguns going off and your fighting in the midst of them. Thts just me, though, and that all has to do with the weapons, how far away they are from you, how far away from the sever you are, your internet speeds, and so forth.

yea... alter aeon is no't a fps, and sbp and these all clones aren't fps. And yea. For me, the bests fps what we have now are rtr and swamp. Rtr radar is the best choice to make frenetic combats in a fps. Can't wait until ghorthalon releases his new fps with 3d audio and these new things.

It's because they were all three of them coded in bgt and anything developers tried to put in failed simply cause bgt couldn't handle them. From vehicles to robots or jets in redspot. And guess what happens, they are all stricted to the same system and features as each other. The only difrence between them is the number of weapons or bombs

Probably a little of both. But as someone who loves action games, the fact that I lost interest quickly says something to me. I'm a fiend for combat design of any kind. But my standards may also be too high. The fact that I've grown p watching people play fps titles has given me a very clear image of what a good one is and which ones to avoid. And yes, there are differences between those games you mentioned, but not enough to differentiate them as far between Overwatch, Haylo, Call of Duty, Counterstrike, and similar. And this isn't just from what I've played, it's also from the meriad of recordings I've heard. Frankly, I haven't played all the ones listed on this thread, not at great length. But I've played enough of them to make firm judgements based on my experience, which is very sbjective... so this post, as my other one was, is all opinion. But speaking again as someone who considers the standard we should aspire to to be set at mainstream games, there's certainly something that just isn't there. But hey, these games are clearly still popular among a certain group of people, so my opinion doesn't cont for very much.

@6Sounds like you either A. aren't that skilled or B. aren't playing with very skilled players if all your experiencing is spray and pray combat.And if you truly notice no significant difference between say, RTR and Redspot, or Swamp and Audio Quake, then I'm kinda confused.No doubt we don't have the same level of immersion though... Maybe you should help design the next one, your ideas could be useful.My personal go to for the last several years has been to either jump on an existing RTR server and wait for people to show up, or grab some of my favorite maps and start up my own, then invite people I know are decent with Skype contacts or by trawling the other servers for people.Get a group of people together that are at a similar level of experience, that you know won't cheat, and you can have a hell of a good time.Even just one other person on some smaller maps can be allot of fun if your both inventive with tactics and know the map well...

Noone develops them now because every time they come out, they inevitably end up being practically the same game with different weapons. But centering and shooting, no matter the differing in weapon behaviour which is usually just speed and range, do not a great fps make. Especially when it always ends up being prayand spray which basically describes all the fps games we have at the moment, other than swamp.

To be honest, they’re both kind of crap. RTR was ok for it’s time but it really hasn’t aged well at all. SBP is ok, accept for the fact that no one plays it, and the dev has no real intrest in developing it. I can’t believe people say the fps market is flooded when it’s really not.
