Re: Help! with reaper That is definitely a weird problem. I certainly never heard of that happening. I wonder if you have an add-on that could be using the F7 key. I wanted to keep speech history, but it also uses F12, which enables or disables keyboward shortucuts in Reaper. So, is there a way to keep this add-on in other applications but have it disabled when using Reaper, or have it mapped to a different key that it doesn't use? Re: Help! with reaper
Re: Help! with reaper Have you tried hitting F4 to open the actions list, then tabbing to the find shortcut option, and pressing F7 to see what it finds? When you tab back to the list, the highlight should be on track toggle record arming for current last touched track. If it isn't, them maybe find that item in the list and add the f7 shortcut manually. Re: help with reaper?
Re: help with reaper? Have you installed Osara yet? You really should if you haven't. Osara is the accessibility plugin for Reaper's own interface that will give you a lot more of a streamlined interface of keyboard shortcuts and will make screen readers better communicate with the thing. Also, remember f12 once you have it installed, that will turn on key describer. Make liberal use of that if you're a beginner. Re: help with reaper?
Re: help with reaper? They haven't fixed their inaccessibility...yet. And if you think this is bad, wait till you have to use waves central to license your plugins.Although I can say despite Waves inaccessibility, their tech support team is super helpful, which is more than can be said of IK Multimedia. They still have not responded to my email, and their phone support is *temporarily unavailable?* I call bullshit. Keep in mind that most of their customers are studios probably purchasing in bulk, so these companies literally cannot lose money. It's just that one cares about its customers a bit more than the other. Re: help with reaper?
Re: help with reaper? Alright, I'll make a recording, I'll edit this post when it's done, but you're going to have to learn how to use inaccessible shit if you're going to be doing this. Re: Help with Reaper please Hi, the best way, for mee, is to split the track into items and then deleting the items you don't need or you don't want! The s key splits the selected item into 2 items at the point where you paused the playback! To be sure not to delete other items or to split them, first press shift+a and then s! Hope it helps!
