i finished the first mgs back in 2002, without internet, nor any walkthrough.It requires some patience, but it is not necessary to learn the maps step by step, of course, the first time you play, exploring is the key, but generally, movement is very friendly in mgs.

It will be a mystery for me how you can play MGS. Only one solution in my mind is to learn the map step by step what can takes for ever. Ofcourse, playing without any walkthrough is inpossible probably. I tried it few times where i drown in the water at the beginning so... seriously, how?

aiming is easy in most mgs games, except mgs3. they had an auto-aim function. also, when you use the first person view, you can hear clearly the footsteps of your enemies.tomorrow, with some luck, i'll be doing a recording. my english is not good enough for long talking, but i think i can explain what i'm doing.

The ledge gives you cover. The only way she could hit you would be if she was directly west of you. That just never happens.edit:You can fly nekitas out of that corner also.  Just fly them slightly west then  up. There is a tiny ramp there that pops the missile up and stops it hitting the ledge./edit

well, head all the way east then north till you're stopped by the ledge. then, hug the right wall so you're facing west, equip the stinger, then aim right till you ear the beeps signaling you're aiming at her. for some reasons she can't hit you from there but the missile will get to her directly.

To defeat her during the second battle, use the Stinger. Hug the right wall and equip it, aim right till you hear the beeps which means your aim is on her, and shoot

This is just about running perfect in dolphin these days (about time). I dislike how some of the cut scenes are changed up (the introduction of the M1 tank for example) but it's still one hell of a game
