I press it at the home screen, then a menu appears, from left to right. and at the middle option, there is an up and down menu as well, I press down, and then I hear a assending ding sound. and when I press the circle button(my PS4 is an asian one, so the circle button always confirm and the x button cancel or back), an error sound plays. what's wrong with this? am I choosing the menu to setup something in the share menu? As for savedata, that is in a different spot. Its complicated, haven't really had much use for deleting savedata, so not sure of the order. But its in settings, savedata management or something like that. Up accesses the menu with ps plus, notifications, etc. Settings is the left from the right most option in that menu. Most of the time, you won't need to go into that up menu.If this makes it easier, picture the ps4 interface as 3 rows. You start on the second row. This row has things like your recently used apps and stuff. Up goes to the first row wich has friends, messages and stuff like that. Don't remember the exact order. Then Down goes into the specific game, most of the time, you can't go into that down menu, not every game has it. The voice commands needs to be turned on in the settings.To use the voice commands, you can either say "Playstation" or press L2 to let it listen. It's not all games which are being recognized, so I hope Sony will let us use the TTS in the future. There are some of the settings missing, such as the settings for the optical output which configures 16 bit or 24 bit sound, 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound etc. I haven't found those settings mentioned in the usersguide.How do you check if the automatic download is enabled? Is on to the right and off to the left?I see what you mean by counting the menus in the usersguide, yes, I'm doing that myself a lot of times, and it helps a lot. But, the usersguide doesn't cover it all.If I remember correctly, it doesn't show how to delete a game either, which I have wrote in some notes somewhere. And, if I need to remove a game save, I haven't found a way to do that either without sighted help. Count how far down sound and screen is, then in that menu comes up video output and stuff, look for audio, its the fourth option. Then the primary audio output is the first option. I think you would click on it and then select optical, not actually sure which one it is. Hope this helps. I wrote some notes a week ago on how to update the ps4 using this simple menu. Let me know if you want this.I don't think games on a disk can be installed on the harddrive, but I'm not sure.Regarding downliading and installing games you have bought from the Playstation Network, yes, you can click the download button on the website which will download the game to your ps4, and then it'll install the game automatically. The console will make a pling sound when the game is ready, and you can follow the status from the website as well, which is an epic feature. Then you can use it.If the console needs an update, when you start a game first will be a message saying that theres a SoftWare Update. You can update now, or later. Some of us live alone, and have very limited access to sighted help.Games can be bought from the playstation store website at store.playstation.com. When a game is purchased, you can download it directly to the playstation from the website.You can launch the game you want by using the voice commands. there are games which the voice command can't recognise, and I'm really having trouble on starting those, because the list of games get changed each time you launch a game. The list is sorted by the latest game you have played.Adding friends and chatting can be done from the Playstation app for ios. I hope @bradp can explain how to join parties, invite people to play online and accept game invitations without speech.
