Re: Something weird going on with certain Nyanchan games on my computer

To answer some of your questions, at post 4, the games themseles are not the problem. Yesterday went through all of my nyanchan games and most of them behaved this way. At post 5, No, definitly not speed hacking, because most timed things work, it's just certain sounds that ignore waiting. For example, you run and attack normally in bk2, it's just stuff like dying, or story text that gets quicker. At post6, time.hpi is in all my game directories, so that isn't the problem.

Re: Something weird going on with certain Nyanchan games on my computer

Probably, the script interpreter is behaving strangely. The runtime is coded in VC++, so making changes to VC++ may effect the fps thing in some way. Unfortunately, I can't do anything for this.

Re: Something weird going on with certain Nyanchan games on my computer

Had the same problem around a year ago. I installed Microsoft Visual Studio and afterwards this occured. I really don't think Visual Studio had anything to do with it, but this is the only thing I remember doing that day. Then after a windows update a few days later, all was normal again.

Something weird going on with certain Nyanchan games on my computer

Hi all, So a few days ago, I decided to fire up bk2, or bd2, whatever you wanna call it, to continue my save from stage 13 or so. it really doesn't matter where though. But to my amazement, when I pressed enter on the logo, the music faded really quickly, and then I discovered that the game ran certain things much quicker than usual. Like dying for instance, you would hear the death message about half a second after you die, as aposed to about 5seconds. Same with going through menues. Clicking on the stage select screen item goes there much quicker than usual. And of course, quitting the game is also much faster. you bearly hear any of the data saving sound before the game quits. So basically certain things just don't interrupt, is what I'm gathering here. Some kind of timing thing is wrong. Then, I decided to check out my old saves and see what I had left in Nyanchan Sugoroku DX, and it happens here as well. The computer apponents go lightning quickly, so quickly in fact, that buying a million cards at a card shop requires you to go through the log to find out what they bought, and even moving through the game normally with the dice and such is quite hard to do this quickly. The speed of moving between squares seams to be at 0 or something, even if I change the setting, it's stil lightning fast. Most of this is only a minor thing, to be honest it kinda helps with grinding in bd2, for example, but I'm just wondering what could be causing this? Also, making recordings of these games wil be hard now, because I have no way of reproducing this with anyone elses setup, so their game is going to run slower. So, does anyone know what is going on here, and is there a way to control if it's present or not?
