Re: Teaching React Native The browser version of React is just called React, and works with normal HTML. I can strongly recommend it; even if you're not doing CSS, it's a super super convenient way to make interactive UIs without pulling your hair out. I don't know if there's a way to port React Native to the browser as-is, but would be surprised if this is the case. They have some things in common, but less than you'd think.It might be possible to get around the Mac problem with Expo. Expo isn't really suitable for long-term development because Expo is actually violating Apple's appstore guidelines, and a friend of mine who does React Native says that it has actually lost capabilities because Apple has said haha no to things, but it does have some sorts of stuff to update without having to use XCode. Whether it's enough, I don't know; anything I'd consider doing would almost certainly run into the impassable brick wall of native dependencies almost immediately. Re: Teaching React Native So doing a bit of homework for this means that, unless you can get us all Macs we would only be running react via its browser implementation, Snack if my memory serves. Development on windows is only limited to Android, and even this is via Android Studio, which was inaccessible for yours truly when I was attempting to get it working for school purposes. I think we all would appreciate more details here, like what exactly are you going to teach? What skills could one expect to get out of your course?
