I'm generally not a fan of using things like fb or twitter or whatever in web apps, so was rather hoping miranda would be the answer I'm looking for.I'll check out messenger though, being able to talk to people through messenger on the PC will be a relief.Not really a frequent facebook user either, though I've been using it a lot more lately, that's mostly so I can talk to friends and family who don't use twitter or skype or IMessage, those being my other primary means of online communication most of the time. Re: Using miranda ng Hi there,I'm not sure why it doesn't work for you, however, my personal recommendation, don't even bother with it.I had been using it for quite long time, and it used to work very well. However as Facebook recently started to introduce more and more anti-bot features, it's now more struggling than it's worth.Being more concrete, Facebook has blocked my account about every second or third launch of Miranda, forcing me to change my password everytime. Thus I had been changing my Facebook password about 20 or 30 times, while I must say that I'm really not a frequent user. That ended up few times even with forgetting, what was my current password, so I needed to change it with Forget password function, and then immediately change it again because of blocked account.And of course every change had to be done in Miranda's setting as well. And even that worked only under specific circumstances, I had to have opened Facebook in my browser and change my account settings in Miranda simultaneously, otherwise my account got blocked immediately.So I don't use Miranda anymore. Using miranda ng Hey all,So I've been hearing a lot about this thing. I recently downloaded it, but am very confused by it so far. I'm trying to use it with facebook, but once I add the account, specify my email and password and all that, it just says facebook offline in my system tray. Try using the thing in the system tray, no option to authorise facebook, as I assume would be the requirement, nothing. Any idea how this thing is supposed to work?
