Re: WebIE with a firefox backend? To get into reader mode in Firefox, browse to a page with a news article or something similar. Blogs are also usually set up to handle this. Once you're on the page where you only want to view the text of the article, go into the view menu, and up arrow once. You should see an option that says enter reader view. If you only see the full screen option there, then that article's page doesn't support reader view. it seems like more and more pages can do this though. Re: WebIE with a firefox backend? Nice by whose standards? Reader mode in both Firefox and Chrome have filled this gap quite nicely. Browsing most articles has become a lot easier just by the introduction of this feature. Ad blockers will also strip out a lot of the unnecessary clutter from Facebook an Twitter sharing frames and such.Honestly, there's not much of a need for something so stripped down in today's web browsing environment. But perhaps that's just my opinion.
