Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user you will need to mess with the scaling settings of your camera, and make sure your screen is the first source in the list, or rather the buttom one, if it's not the buttom one everything else will be under it, so if you have the camera at the buttom the game capture or whatever you use will be overlapping it. Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user @17.Add a video capture device source with default parameters. It should work.I have another problem with the camera. There seems to be no accessible way to add camera and screen in a scene.I have a scene with screenshot and it shows.I have a scene with camera capture and it shows full screen. But if I add screen and camera (or camera and screen) I don't see the camera.Any ideas? Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user oh wow, thanks, great ideas everyone. For now facebook is where i have the most interaction so that is where it was done. Its actually kinda neat, but its hard to keep up because sometomes many comments come in fast so thank god in a way, they are not read automatically. Facebook will show all your comments, but will show the most recent ones first, about 10 of them, but it works nicely if you use the full site as opposed to the mobile one. And most people still have this magic mystifying thing on how we use a laptop, so it still makes for a great way to kinda interact. Still I agree what most other websites suggest, which is having someone else respond your comments for you. But thanks for all of these resources, I will check all of them out. Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user also to read the chat on youtube you can use the chrome extension Youtube live chat text2speech. To make it work you need to watch your stream as a spectator URL: https://forum.audiogames.net/post/608580/#p608580 -- Audiogames-reflector mailing list Audiogames-reflector@sabahattin-gucukoglu.com https://sabahattin-gucukoglu.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/audiogames-reflector

Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user @zlorth, If you wanted screen reader output to not be heard you may want to consider using a secondary soundcard or some sort of virtual audio cable program. You can also get an NVDA add-on that is *supposed* to auto-read chats as they come in. Are there any TTS chat extensions for Firefox by any chance? Like for watching other people's streams. Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user you can use speech chat.however, I must say that here where I live there is a course for OBS studio, in case you use o b s for live transmission, along with stream labs, it is always more effective.I recommend using streamlabs in conjunction with OBS studio, in case you use your cell phone to read, or find a tts on the chrome webstore.for another platform use speechchat tts. Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user Are there any guides out there for setting up chat and such things in an accessible way?Ideally I would like to be able to read the chat (be it YouTube or Twitch) without hearing the screen reader in the streaming, unless I want this to happen. On the other hand, it would be great if someone could tell us how Streamlabs can be configured. I've been looking at it but it doesn't seem to be very usable with NVDA.Sorry for my bad english. Re: livestreaming as a blind user
Re: livestreaming as a blind user If you're using YouTube, you can also get streamlabs and get OBS working with it. It will do TTS for donations and things like that. It's also a way to get donations working through PayPal. It does a lot more than that but I'm not exactly sure what. livestreaming as a blind user
livestreaming as a blind user so, I have been trying to get into livestreams. Since i do music live, I would normally look at the comments when I finish a tune or something. The only platform that I know that decently does this is a combination of... streaming from my cellphone and then using NVDA on firefox to view comments live so that I can respond to them. NVDA will read them fine and update accordingly, but then the browser tends to lag a bit, I guess its because it tries to sync some stuff, I am not sure. HOwever, comments on phone is not a bad idea and I could probably hook something and use bluetooth headphones to read them although I am afraid that it will change my mic when streaming? anywayhas anyone devised a different strategy to this one?
