Well now that stunning and stranding have been completely removed I will give this game ago. Some people might not understand why I'm saying this, so I'll try to explain. As most of you know but some of you may not, in Miriani in my experience, I was stunned and stranded for no reason, it kept me from playing the game, since this was done repeatidly. The fact that someone could continualy do this to someone else without any type of consequence  really puts me off from Miriani. So I want to say again, Thank you Prometheus for actually listening to the community.

@wp85: It seems to me that you had chosen a username with spaces, that's why the game didn't let you to get into the actual creation. Try again with a username that doesn't have spaces. Just as a reminder to everybody, you can't have a username with spaces. When it asks for desired username, you can use numbers, dashes, underscores and a-z with and without capitalization.

Yes, it still is landing clearance, but in the sector it first says: shipname has begun landing procedures with destination, and at the moment of the ship actually touching the ground, it tells that it has landed, as it should!

I'm stil having trouble connecting. Here is what I'm doing. I hit enter on eternal wars, I am using VIP mud, then I hit the letter p for player then I enter my username and password. At that point, it says type create, connect etc. So I type connect then hit space then type in my username then hit another space then type in my password, and it says something like Invalid user name or password. What am I doing wrong?

Prometheus I just want to say I think you are doing a good job on this mud. One of the things I like is the fact that you can now set an option to allow PVP or non PVP. This makes it possible for someone like me to have it so other people can't attack me, but also the people who like PVP can have the option to do so. It shows that your in tune with the community, and I think that's a good thing. I now have an asteroid hauler and have hauled a few roids now, and made quite a few credits. Keep up the good work.

Greetings!Ok, so here is our new idea: a trading system.I know, I know, it sounds like Miriani, but here's the deal:*we'd have NPC's telling you what's valuable where.*there would be a daily change in the rate that'd be added to the cash of your sold item as extra, from 0.25 to 2.0 percent.*and more!One of our players also suggested an activity where you could build weapons, which would not actually work by the way, and drop them in a bin or similar for cash and pilotting points.Also, we have an idea of putting in a good delivering system. It is not the normal delivery one, for this one would have actual goods from shop to shop. Say, a weapon shop wants you to get a box of clips to a weapon factory for testing purposes, ETC.Thoughts are welcome!

Thoughts:The general atmosphere and people are certainly more welcoming than those found on other space oriented muds.  I was able to get up and running within half an hour and had no real questions other than trying to figure out the differences between this and say Miriani.  It was somewhat disorienting to not see any sort of map system that would give me directions to well known places on planets or the like, and I'm not sure how many credits one is supposed to start out with, but I only had 200, which was quickly fixed but might provide an inconvenience again for someone else in the future.  At the very least, it should be possible to borrow credits from somewhere, a banking corporation of some sort?And now for a possible bug: I've noticed that when salvaging and looking at the cargo hold there are times when debris seems to disappear.  I'm not sure if this is intentional, but I am more than certain I salvagaed some 13 pieces
  only to return with 7.  When I checked the cargo, I got an error of some sort that claimed that the admins had been notified and the error would be resolved as soon as possible.  I do hope that gets fixed soon.all in all, I can honestly say good job and keep it up.

Greetings!Thanks for the feedback!@nocturnus: That bug with cargo has already been fixed. Also, we sincerely appologize for this, but unfortunately the 'map' command we cannot add since our exit system does not currently allow it, but we will add signs, for instance, at the end of each Malacia corridor which tell you where you get what. Also, the lack of a 'map' command is the reason why our planets are built as they are, even if you get lost you always will find an easy way to return to where you started from.

For what it's worth to anyone just getting started out, I would advise not throwing a ton of cash into your bank account.  I just lost millions of credits while trying to withdraw, probably owing to a bug of some sort, or maybe I did something horrible in someone's imaginary past lifetime or something.  :dAt any rate, for all of the awesome things you seem to be able to do with the banking system, I do hope it is reevaluated sometime soon, because losing a hundred million credits all in one go is not cool, and since I have no way of proving I ever had the money... Well, you get the idea.

PVP is disabled by default.  IN addition to this, you are protected by a  newby status for a fair amount of time, giving you the ability to make money and points without anyone interfering.  If someone does, let someone know and chances are you'll have the rest of the entirety of the community up in arms and ready to kill whoever it is that did such a thing.As far as sectors go, there are currently 38 sectors, and where debris is concerned there is no particular one where it is best to collect debris from.  Debris is random at best; I remember I was told to check uncharted space for it but usually when I navigate into uncharted sectors there'll be 3 pieces of debris here, 6 there, 2 over there, and so on.  It's not uncommon to jump into sector 15 and find 23 pieces of debris.

Greetings!We have added a new upgrade called starship engravings. Here is part of the announcement:These engravings come in two types: standard and advanced. The standard one has only text, you have to select its color and sizes from a menu of choices, and also the place where it's engraved. The advanced one, however, lets you fully customize what's being engraved by typing it all in yourself! Just remember to check the shown syntax carefully if buying an advanced one.Additionally, should the starship have an engravement upgrade, it is now shown under the 'status' command.

And this, my friends, is precisely why I'm still playing.  I have a set of complaints with the system, a couple of things that annoy me, but the feature list is such that I can just look the other way for the most part.  Today, I had my engines shot out from under me, which made moving my aircraft anywhere impossible.  It's realistic, but there's nothing you can do at present when your ship's only means of constant propulsion is damaged beyond repair.  For the record, it was during a mission and given that I'm new at it I suppose that in itself was a risk, but I completed the mission nonetheless and was left with an inoperable engine, which meant not getting anywhere with the ship.  Unfortunately, I haven't an idea on how to deal with such a Chrisis, else I'd suggest it, but in all reality, it's not as important as the rest of the game being functional and full of exciting things to do.Another thing I hope wil
 l be looked at is that at current aside from debris salvaging there isn't much for new players to do, and it stays that way as far as I can tell until you reach status 3.  Debris salvaging itself is not the problem, so much as that it becomes rather tedious and monotonous for some people.  Usually I tend to keep myself distracted with other things while I'm salvaging to make the process go by a bit faster, but it is rather boring on its own.  Nothing really changes; you're flitting around a sector collecting stuff, or searching sectors to try and find the best source from which to collect debris otherwise.then there is the amount of information that isn't available.  The help manuals are very well put together and I have no complaint with them at all; no, it's the stuff that isn't obvious that bothers me.  A fair amount of it I know now, but unless you're around when the information is divulged your stuck guessing or
  asking other members and there doesn't seem to be any method by which one can access it, making it almost mandatory that you remember everything of this nature on the spot.  If you are told where you can obtain missions when you sign up you'd better remember how to go about it or ask someone familiar with that bit of information.  if you don't know where a certain upgrade is sold you're left at the mercy of the player base which, while good and generous is not the thing everyone wishes to turn to, sometimes because people feel like they might annoy other players in doing so, sometimes just because people like to feel resourceful or play on their own without having to interact with others.As I stated above, minor annoyances, slight irritations, most of which I don't think about regularly because I'm too busy exploring the scope of what this thing has become.  To see something on this scale is refreshing.  Just when I believed 
 Miriani was going to be my only source of space entertainment I am pleasantly surprised.

You don't need any special objects to engrave, it's an upgrade.3. I'm definitely planning on giving this one a good shot.it sounds like you guys have done some fantastic work.normally, with muds I'm perfectly fine working without sound, however this is not the case with something like miriani. Building your own starships has been possible since quite awhile back, but an expensive undertaking.  From my understanding of the system, you can even choose to publicise or privatize your models, so that people can use them in the former, or only you have access to such a model in the latter, though that may actually be a stretch given that I've only been around for about a week or so and don't know all the specifics, so someone else can clarify if I've overstated the system.  Either way, it does seem fairly neat; I've already got one model built by someone else.  What a game!

hi everyone,this is a warning for everyone who is planning on to start playing Prometheus eternal war. everything, from the activities, the status leveling system to the community. you'll get addicted. my girlfriend and i are at least.not to mansion the staff as well. they are so friendly and i can have a good laugh with them.for example. i was hauling asteroids and i found 10 in a row at the same square in space.jack brooks told me that i was the first one who found a asteroid belt.i asked if i was noted in the history books for finding the first belt.jack told me over ooc:"mike pelantasas, the finder of hummanities first asteroid belt sincce mr egmund." you see? the statement of that the hosts don't want to be seen as hosts only, but also as friends of pilots is true. i never have seen such a friendly team of hosts on a moo.my congrats again prometheusmoo for making this game. when it is allowed i'

For those who are wondering whether or not a Mush pack will be available, all we can currently say is that we do not have the time to create one ourselves, so we would appreciate if a player of ours could take the time and make such a thing.

Hi, I have a couple of points. I might be in the minority, but I would love the training vessels for example to give some kind of flight or come back to tutorial to help get started. This is mainly because I would like a better idea of what I'm doing in action rather than having to practice when I'm possibly in the middle of a group. Also, I think this would be helpful as we have quite a small player base, and I am one of those people who doesn't want to irritate people with loads and loads of questions. Haha. Also, thank you for removing stunning, adding ground combat which looks awesome, as well as making point totals for salvaging larger which should hopefully lessen the early game grind when there  isn't that much to do

We say look for a host because our financial situation does not provide us with the option of buying a new server.We  have a recent back up and the modified source code ready for compiling, so in that matter we're good to go when we find a temperal host.We will post updates as they come regarding this.We're really sorry for the downtime, we know that many here like the game. The argument of these is your communicator name or part of it, and linkprint prints out a chip of all your links, so be sure not to give the chip out.Also, pyrian uplayers can now choose to share one or more of their translator beacons with another pyrian.Enjoy!

Greetings!We will be adding PVP arenas to Prometheus shortly. Yes, player versus player arenas!There will be three types: small with 10, medium with 20, and large with 30 rooms. Players will be able to type 'arena' on any landing pad to enter, and likewise 'arena' will be typed to return back to the landing pad from where you entered.We'll keep you posted!
