problems logging in with opentween: is it even working? Hi everyone.I recently created a twitter account, and was hoping to use it with a software on windows, rather than opening a browser every time. After a little searching I downloaded OpenTween. My problem is that after pressing the start authentication button, I get a message that says authentication error unauthorized. Is OpenTween still working? If not, are there any free clients around? There is Tw blue, though you will have to keep in mind it has some bugs, especially when dealing with quoted tweets and not displaying full conversations. On the good news, Twitter is introducing a new API, and once TW blue switches to it things should be a lot better. Re: problems logging in with opentween: is it even working? Yes. OpenTween was under the kinfe a long time ago per Twitter's suspention followed by silent treatment. A shame really. ButNidza07 is right they have introduced a new api with realtime streaming, and a lot of things missing from the previous api. Matter of fact, it will soon replace the current api. IDK why the people who are losing their shirts over OT dying are going to TWB when Tween exists. Personally, I used open tween briefly and liked it, except I had a kind of annoying problem where after running the client for a day or 2, the client would simply refuse to run and I had to either copy the exe file back into it's folder for it to start working or delete the config, can't remember now exactly. I never tried Tween though and might at some point, though I'm not a heavy Twitter user so TW blue fits my needs.
