Re: ps4 tts Firstly, I recommend having a sighted person on hand to help you connect your console to the psn, set up the language, date and time, etc.Having said that, if tts is not on, here are step by step instructions on how to enable it from within settings. When you start up the console, assuming that yours is the only profile, you will be on the home screen. Press up to move to the functions screen. The second option from the right is settings. The screen doesnt wrap, so you can just go all the way to the right until you hear the border indicator sound, then left once to get to settings. Choose it with the cross button.From here, the first option you will be on is account management. Go up once, and you will be on accessibility. Choose it with cross.The very first option is text to speech. Choose this with cross, and you will be able to change several things. First, Enable tts by pressing the cross button on this first option. Then you can scroll down and change the speech rate and volume to your liking. Once you're done, you can just press circle until you return to the home screen, and your preferences will be saved automatically.Additionally, if you hold the ps button, you will be taken to the quick menu. Anything that you append there using the customize button found in that menu, tts will read.Hope that helps. Re: PS4 TTS Outside of the US If you want TTS outside the US, you'll have to get a ps4 model CUH-1001A, CUH-1115A or CUH-1215A. It has to be one of those SKUs as sony have locked the TTS out at the hardware level for... reasons, I dunno. So you're most likely looking at importing a unit. This could end up costing you an arm and a leg after import duties and exchange rates are taken into account. Sony are currently half arsing the tts, so it's really up to yourself if you want to go down that rout.
